Definitely, they’re both out of the ordinary.
I believe Doshin costs a lot these days. I got mine for… £4.50 in 2007 lol. I guess a bit less than 20 years.

GCloader should be here next week, literally cannot wait. ill grab another console soon to keep disc options, but man this is gonna be fun for translations/undubs/hacks/stuff priced out of the stratosphere going forward

I’ll wait and see if it can support forcing video mode, as I have heaps of PAL games I force to 480p.

so i’ve had a GC loader/swiss setup for a bit, but something in putting the case back on must’ve been awry, because the power button had issues…my partner & i took it apart, applied pressure reassmbling, and got it back together with said button clicking right
only…not getting anything at the moment when booting up? the orange system light comes on for a second & then fades (i forget if it normally did this with this setup?), i can hear the system’s on & running but no picture or audio. i’m gonna mess with the RGB cable this weekend & see if it’s something like that, wondering if i somehow messed things up with the SD drive or the like while working on said button

GC loader meaning ODE? Does that use Swiss?
Either way it shouldn’t affect video, issues with that would just affect game loading, you should still see the bootup.

Cheap power supplies are often noisy. Really best to stick to OEM on Gamecube/N64 etc.
That said, there is a new USB C power supply mod out, I’m keen to see impressions.
