The post-game definitely ups the challenge. The main story basically feels like a tutorial preparing you for what you have to do for some of these moons in post-game.

This seems to be how Mario games have been designed for a while now. Anyone can “beat” them, but then the real game starts.

Something still seems “off” about Mario’s face/head in Odyssey. I can’t quite put my finger on what it is exactly but it’s something that I’ve noticed in most of the pictures of him.I also have no idea why it matters or I care…

Just unlocked Metro area, would have sooner but having too much fun just exploring and grinding levels for as many extra moons as I can get.

Grats Timu. I really love my switch. I’m a big fan of 4K content and for whatever reason the switches resolution doesn’t bother me at all because I’m having so much fun playing the games.

I’ve reached the Moon and so I assume I’m in the final few stages of the main game. Have well over 200 moons. Looking forward to the post game stuff. Crazy to think I only have like 25% of the moons. Also, my 4yo daughter loves watching me play. So nice to have something I can play around her. Glad to be back into Nintendo games… feels good to “come home” in that way. Looking forward to Mario Kart and Zelda soon…

Finished the game a few days ago. Love the ending sequence following the final boss fight. It was kinda Metroid-esque! And I should have seen the final capture coming … so cool.
Beat it with about 250 moons and now have over 300. Hard to imagine I have 200 more to unlock the very last area and another 300+ after that. I will be coming back to this for a long while.

I finished this the other day as well. Easily my favorite game of the year. It brought back so many great childhood memories with Mario 64.

I finished it last night. Man that was great. I haven’t been this hot on Nintendo games since the GameCube and maybe even the SNES. I finished the game with 385 moons. I got so excited after I beat the game i found the Mario 64 costume and a hidden Mario 64 style level. Now I want a new remake of M64. I loved the Metroid esque ending sequence. I was so hoping that I could capture Bowser. Mario has been in Bowser more than once now. Hmm
