Do you know any really absolutely obscure video game trivia? I’m not talking “Super Mario 2 is Doki Doki Panic”.

What are facts about consoles almost no one has talked about?

What are some secrets hidden in games that aren’t covered in Did You Know Gaming videos?

What are some things that just don’t get much coverage at all?

That’s the main reason my Micros are Japanese!

It’s widely known that Sega developed F-Zero GX and AX, but I don’t think it’s common knowledge that the company developed a version of Rhythm Tengoku for the arcade.

I’ve never seen the cabinet in real life but it’d be cool to play it someday.

I’ve played one! It was tucked into a random weird corner in a mall in the Tokyo suburbs.

-Congo: The Movie on the Saturn is the first FPS to feature a weapon wheel.

-Dr. Muto was the last game released by any incarnation of the original Atari.

-While Alien Ressurection on PS1 is commonly held-up as the first console FPS to feature modern dual-analog controls, Uprising X on the same console predates by nearly two years. Gamestop’s review of it even simiarly expresses unfamiliarity with the scheme, albeit in a less flippant way.

The original version of Gunpey was a keychain LCD game called Professor Henoheno (プロフェッサー へのへの) or Henoheno, created by Koto (Gunpei Yokoi’s company) in conjunction with LCD game manufacturers HIRO.

Later, after his death, it was remade as Gunpey for the WonderSwan, PS1, Arcade, etc
