This thread reminded me I have a couple lying around. DK jr was a cheap pick up in the 90’s as it didn’t have a battery cover so just got around to ordering a replacement off of eBay today. Might look into doing a bit of screen restoration as they have some scratches.
Love these things, real marvels of design and engineering.
I got this one for my eighth birthday, one of my favorite gift ever, it was like a Ferrari to me (still have the Super 8 recording of this day).
I’ve played it for years and never had another G&W, never really wanted another one in fact, I was so happy with this one.
Game & Watch Gallery 2 was one of my first video games I ever owned alongside Pokémon Blue. I didn’t actually understand what it was supposed to be at the time. I honestly thought it was full of mock-ups of hypothetical games rather than a way to reproduce old classics.
Same! I remember loving the sprites in the Chef game, but not really appreciating what it was about beyond chasing high scores. Seems like a good time to return to the series.
