Neo Geo Pocket/Color |OT| complete control

Allegedly 8 hours but who knows, I only did it just now lol.

I just adjusted the screen, tricky to get straight and centred. And installing/adjusting screens is always a war with dust and fingerprints…

Tried to show the pixel modes below:

Horizontal scanlines

Vertical scanlines (like a Game Gear)

Pixel Grid (looks a bit washed out here due to phone auto adjusting exposure, in reality it’s darker than the above two)

No filter

Sorry for the multiple posts!

I also got a new shell that I didn’t end up using because I love the carbon black and once I realised no case mods were needed I stayed with my original.

But these new shells are fantastic too.

I previously owned an original crystal clear console and this looks exactly the same.

Screen looks amazing.

Wish I still had my NGPC. But not enough to buy another. :joy:

I picked up something recently that I thought you would appreciate…

Neo Geo Freak is a magazine that was in print from March 1995 to November 2000 — and this is a special edition dedicated to the Neo Geo Pocket! It’s dated 30/11/1999.

The magazine was known to feature artwork that wouldn’t be published elsewhere:

There are previews of forthcoming (or just released) games:

I’m not BOY

Some nice shots of hardware variants:

Ah yes, the Dreamcast link cable…

Has anyone actually done this?

Towards the end, there are summaries of earlier releases:

By the way, Puzzle Bobble Mini is one of the best entries in the series. It’s a colour game, in case the monochrome spread threw you…

It’s time to party like it’s 1999!!!

Freaking awesome.

Magazines are so rad. The next frontier of collecting I think.

The BIOS theme goes really hard
