That sounds cool. I’d volunteer to do a Metal Slug 1cc clear, but would probably crack under pressure on the last level like I always do.

Never knew these existed. Time to catch up with old streams. I wonder if they did Smash TV.

I don’t believe Smash TV has been done yet. Might as well bring this list over here from last year if anyone wants to do some watching in the meantime. Unfortunately the formatting is going to be pretty rough and there will probably be mistakes as I have to do a lot of converting. I’ll clean it all up the best I can. Also, unfortunately, the first few videos might cut a little short as there was some early stream problems, but things smooth out pretty quickly.

Should be a lot of fun this year, loads of classic games that cover a good chunk of the main genres: platforming, run & guns, beat 'em ups, shmups, light gun and even a puzzle game. Here’s a link to this year’s schedule (still a rough draft but it’s basically done afaik), I’ll be on the final day towards the end:

Also, these are some great guys to follow on twitch if you’re also part of the site: the majority of these players stream quite regularly so if you’re into arcade games it’s worth checking out for sure. Plus, it’s a cool community of people to hang out with too!

I own the discord that was used for the last SGDQ and has been used for ‘viewing parties’ for many twitch events – it’s the sequel to the gaf private twitch chat we used in the past for other GDQs. If anyone prefers that format to watch with others to a forum, feel free to PM me on here or discord for an invite. We’ll be watching this.

Fair warning, when there’s not an event happening, it’s just a bunch of weeby and politically-charged conversations.
