Some new test patterns coming to the 240p Test Suite soon.
A couple replies down Artemio replies, “still unreleased, but yes. Won’t take me too long”
Love me some 240p test suite, lol (stolen from CRT Bot’s Twitter header)

Wow that’s pretty cool.

On a totally unrelated note, has anyone with a CRT_Emudriver setup upgraded or changed the OS? I am wanting to upgrade from Win7 to Win10 on my emu PC but I don’t want to mess too much up.
Do I just make the upgrade as usual and then re-do the VMMaker modelines?
They got so many orders they’ve had to shut down the store. Mike Chi needs to look into making this a “real” business.
Thank you for the chuckle with Dennis Nerdy, there.
Poor guy has been catching a lot of strange flack from people that want a product that only he makes. People online are awful sometimes.
Could remove the “online”. Also the “sometimes”. How about we all just remove “people”.
Watched the whole review and saw zero mention of scanline filters for 240p.
Finally cleaned up this little JVC roadside-find and brought it in the house after being quarantined in my car since February. Trinitron gets a little brother!
It’s from 1991 and only RF-input so I’m going to use it with my childhood Atari 800XL once I find some replacement joysticks and put it in the “kids” room. Worked out kinda perfectly since papa Trinitron has S-Video, ideal for my main N64 setup.
I turned it on and all the buttons work, along with the little speaker on the side. Really satisfied. I can’t wait to fire up Asteroids or Dallas Quest and invite my dad over lol
That’s awesome, beautiful little set
Hey guys, I’m kinda curious about this effect I’m seeing in Super Mario 64 on my 27" Trinitron via S-video. I never noticed it before but as I look around against certain backgrounds the colors of the UI letters/numbers sort of bleed out horizontally to varying degrees. The same thing happens at the title screen with Mario’s cap; the red color will project out horizontally past the edge of his cap a single “pixel” occasionally as he looks around. Is this a normal artifact of CRTs, a sign of aging hardware, or maybe something to do with the S-video output?
eg. The little bumps on the left side of the “1” and the star, the orange streaks through the 1 and 0, etc:
Almost to 120 again! Lol
Does it happen all the time against those particular backrounds?
If the answer is yes and the behavior is consistent, I wouldn’t be very concerned. Color bleed is pretty normal.
Right, on. Thanks! Yeah, completely consistent. If I can get the camera back in the exact same position the colors “bleed” exactly the same amount.
FWIW I have a similar issue on SNES with S-Video, the red colors tend to bleed out horizontally for 1-2px across several TVs. It doesn’t really bother me much but I always figured I had bad s-video cables. Doesn;t happen over component or on the MiSTer.
Ah! Possible it’s my cable then. I’m still using a cheap one I got on Ebay a while back. When I get a chance I’ll try switching it out for the thick shielded one I got from Insurrection Industries recently and report back if it makes any difference.
But yeah, at the same time I assume there’s always going to be a bit of red-bleed, like this example of an artist using it as an effect in SoTN:
That CRT Pixels guy blocked me after I enquired why they, as a business owner, need to accept gifts from people less well off than themselves.
