That game looks great. Is it a platformer?
Yes, it’s an platformer, like Bubble Bobble in a way.
Very nice set of pics!

Really like these soft scanlines.
I made an account just to post here, this thread is absolutely beautiful. Here are some pictures I took from an AOC FT720 (PC CRT) via Retroarch running at 2560x240@120Hz. I’ve been told PC CRT’s are better with an OSSC for retro games, but these looked pretty great.
Donkey Kong Country (SNES)
Beyond Oasis (Mega Drive)
Demon’s Crest (SNES)
Monster World IV (Mega Drive)
NIce pics and welcome!
Thanks!
Never saw this game on screen, only emulated. The iconic blue outline actually makes sense here!
Yeah, the outline looks a bit weird if you’re not playing in the right colour space. I’ve been looking at the game on GBA SP and the DS Phat to tune the look on my Mister, the colours get there but there’s still something not quite the same. These GBA Castlevania really have a unique look on these LCD displays with their dim peak brightness more so than other GBA games with ‘brighter’ art directions. Need to check this out on a CRT!
How did you get TATE setup on the Pi? I can’t even get proper Yoko for mine
