For all Prince of Persia games I used 960p (480p 2x on OSSC) cause all of them have progressive scan, Armored Core is 480i 4x (deinterlaced by the OSSC), and Mega Man ones were either 2x or 4x (can’t remember) from that weird resolution the Wii mode is outputting from the Wii U.
Beautiful looking game. I need to play this one some day.
You haven’t played this amazing game yet???=O
Unfortunately this is low level emulation in the absence of a CRT, so not ‘real’ scanlines. But really, I just wanted to highlight how good the textures look in Super Mario 64 when viewed at the ideal resolution and with the N64’s RDP features, stuff like antialiasing, lack of mipmapping (giving the textures a sharper appearance), and three-point texture filtering:
My Ultimate SCART adapter broke a while ago so I decided to try this DIY project: https://hackaday.io/project/165634-the-ultimate-vga-to-scart-adapter
First time flashing a PIC chip, luckily it worked out!
360 versions of MvsC2 and MSH downscaled to 240p on a Panasonic 10" Slot mask CRT. These capcom games look like moving comic book pages on this thing thanks to the lack of ‘scanlines’
Super cool. This looks awesome.
Just some goofing around from me of my RGB modded AV Famicom on a PVM20L2 - these shots don’t really do it justice (the glare doesn’t help) the colour and clarity look amazing in person. I love the soft look of the 20L2’s scanlines too.
Looks great! Man. Return of the Joker is under rated as far as graphics go. I think it is one of the best looking games on the system.
I have never seen a list or conversation about the best looking games on the NES without it being mentioned, it’s very highly rated in that regard.
Huh, guess I just wasn’t in on those conversations. Glad it gets the recognition it deserves!
I think most of the 360 Capcom 2D beat em ups aren’t perfectly 2x integer scaled in their raw states at 480p It seems they need the ‘crisp’ filter to remove downscaling artifacts, using it doesn’t seem to change the art too much but it’s slightly softer than ‘pixel perfect’
It’s S-Video or Scart RGB???
BNC RGB
Hokuto no Ken on PS2. Setup: PS2 Fat with Free McBoot (hard drive), Ypbpr cable, Gonbes 8200 (640x480) & LG F920p VGA CRT monitor (31kHz).
I bought this recently just waiting for my copy to arrive from Japan! Nice to see that you’ve got a GBS, hope you can get it modded with GBSControl.
Some day, some day. When this pseudo virus ends and all shops and sites will work again, i hope.
Looks amazing, can you post more?
Does anyone happen to know of a display converter that will take VGA and output to S-Video? Have an old TV I really want to use with my laptop, but can’t figure a way to get Svideo into it.
