Bumping the topic one last time, first off thank you everyone who contributed to Spooktacular Part 2!! This was a blast, and if it wasn’t for a certain cowboy game coming out, I may have gotten a couple more finished during October.
That being said, I was able to finish one last one today…
That’s right, I finished Castlevania 3! Stage 7 was far and away the worst level, with tons of platforming challenges, a mid-boss, and a 3 boss gauntlet at the end. After that, the “remake” of stage 1 of CV1 was a fun little reprieve, and the easier Grim Reaper battle at the end was appreciated.
All in all, it’s my favourite Castlevania so far, but I haven’t played Rondo yet, so that may change. The music, graphics, and locales were just so good in this game. And playing as Alucard was actually fun, and super helpful in a couple stages. I love how both him and Grant play so differently than Trevor Belmont. I might actually go back and play a different route sometime soon so I can see Sypha, the fourth playable character, as well.
