Let's Talk About XenoCrisis

I bought the rom from them and within a few minutes I got my link to download. Works perfectly on my everdrive. Not sure why it still says preorder.

The MD rom, MD Physical, Steam, XB, PSN, Switch versions are available.

The DC and Neo versions are still under development. They will update but they have said that those versions are their focus now.

Bought the Japanese Mega Drive version and got the rom for free. I’ve not played the rom yet or even unzipped the file as I’m waiting for the real cart to arrive. Hope it doesn’t take too long.

Thanks! I just bought the physical Genesis NA version. Looking forward to it!

I’m skipping the rom in lieu of waiting for the cart too. Pumped for it. Looks fantastic.

I’m going to try playing it using my 3 button controller since I, still to this day, have never owned the six button version.

I’ve never liked how the 6 button is smaller so I’ve only ever used the 3 button for genesis.

For me, it’s that the only game I have that makes use of the 6 button is SFII:CE, and it’s been ported to later systems with more buttons so I never went back and played it on genesis hardware the proper way.

I picked this up yesterday and what a beautiful game! - I’m terrible at it but it is such a pleasure to see these kinds of production values in a new Mega Drive game.

There are three types of 3-button controllers and eventually they got that d-pad right - I don’t think I own that version - with the good d-pad. But every 6-button pad I own has a nice d-pad, so it was the best thing up until Krikzz and 8-Bit-do put out their 2.4 pads. Arguably, the 8bit-do version is superior.

What I’m saying is that the 6 button control method is superior and the best way to experience that is with the 8-bitdo pad and luckily, it’s only a 30 dollar amazon purchase away.
