I forgot this game exists. Is it fun?
I think everybody did It looks fun, although I haven’t played it yet.
Usa (右左) or Turnabout in North America has a Moai themed stage:
Just added this! Thanks again
I’m about to beat Super Monkey Ball 2. I hear the rest of the series isn’t as good as the first two, but I sorta don’t care. I want experience them.
I believe the 3DS one has a good reputation, it’s been on my backlog for a while.
I’ve got to interject - steer clear of the 3DS game.
I remember playing this in the launch window and being crushingly disappointed by it. You spend all eight worlds waiting for the real game to begin, because the level designers seemingly had a lobotomy (or presumed the player did).
The vast majority of levels were flat surfaces with rails and walls, turning the game into a simple no-thrills maze navigation exercise where nothing is a threat, you just leisurely make your way over to the goal gates.
I believe Dimps developed it, they didn’t do a good job. The Vita one was developed by AQ Interactive and fared a bit better, but it’ll only make you wish Sega hadn’t spoiled the series through overexposure.
Interested to hear what you think of Wii Banana Blitz.
Ditto on Banana Blitz. It was the last one to be directed by Nagoshi, and after 2’s architecturally impressive yet unfair and fiddly level design I found it a return to form to the focused gameplay found in the first game. Getting to grips with tilting your wrist to move the board was a lot of fun, too.
Love the soundtrack too! Just avoid the HD Unity engine port.
Spotted a Moai in Metal Max 4!
Thanks! Just added this.
Beauty! That’s a great find.
They’re also the background to a level, which is the screen I used on the site to represent this game.
Just saw it, nice find! Cool how the standard score attack mode still has the explorer’s theme to it, I’ve only played Puzzle mode so far.
Don’t now if it was included yet. But just ran into these in Outrunners!
Nice! Got them.
