Someone just found a hidden ZX Spectrum Emulator, shipped with every copy of GoldenEye 007 on the Nintendo 64!

GoldenEye Spectrum Emulation Unlocked

Little benownst to the world all this time, GoldenEye (N64) has a fully-functional ZX Spectrum 48x emulator built into it. By feeding it a proper Spectrum monitor program and calling menu 25 to load a snapshot, any Spectrum 48x program can be run.

The post you link to is dated 2012? I read about this a while back on Nintendo Life.

Hey news to me! Very neat. Thanks for sharing

Oh I didn’t even notice that, just found out about it today.

Retro game boards: even the news is retro!

Didn’t know about this. That’s pretty dam cool

I didn’t know the best way to point it out. Hopefully I didn’t come across as a party pooper. :man_facepalming:

No worries, I don’t get offended by stuff like that.
