Oh beleive me, I don’t enjoy playing crap like this.
I got sent a pair of nank Clip Pro earbuds that are meant to be good for gaming due to being lag free. well, they do have a game mode so…?
Great Sega Genesis game. Every now and then Acclaim (Flying Edge) would publish something worthwhile from Japan just completely out of the blue like this game.
I feel sorry for Taito as they did an exchange publishing deal with Acclaim where Acclaim got to publish good Taito games in the US where as Taito got shite like the Spirit of Speed.
Would you guys be interested in seeing random game videos?
You know, where I’d just take a game from the collection and show of the box, manual and play the game.
It would be 100% legit games played on real hardware as well.
Sure! Games that never left Japan or have US ports that are different or with cut content would be cool. Probably don’t need to be super long.
I think doing stuff that never left Japan would be cool.
I’d be interested so long as they’re games that are obscure, unknown, or are on an obscure console or PC.
I’ve got a lot of obscure stuff for consoles. Not so much for PC as I don’t do PC gaming beside emulation.
Something I could show that other channels can’t is the actual boxes and manuals as I won’t be using any downloaded roms.
I’m really enjoying the new GDK Pixel II. Plays a load of stuff really well. And it’s built like a brick!
With the recent passing of the legend, it’s only fitting that we take a look at George Foreman’s KO boxing on this week’s Battle of the Ports.
It’s time for another remastering on Battle of the Ports.
This week it’s Rastan Saga. Compared to the original video, this video runs at twice the frame rate, has 3 more versions of the game and runs in a higher resolution.
I enjoy these Remasters! Any and all you want to tackle, I think they’re a great updating of your cool content.
One thing about this game is I always felt it got forgotten when 16-bit arrived which was a shame because it could’ve had great ports on Genesis and SNES.
I agree. This would have been a great contender for a 16bit title. Then again, Taito’s arcade ports were quite cut back. There’s a few on the Mega Drive which are quite weak looking.
I have been looking for fun/unique and affordable PC Engine games recently and just watched your Xevious BotP. Really cool to see all the versions of the game and although I know you’re not a huge fan of it, I also noticed people in the comments pointed out Compile did the two best ports! Also, someone notes the 2600 version was improved?
Might be a good choice for a Remastered! I intend to get that PC Engine version now. Xevious always seemed poorly balanced when I was a kid, but it was a looker when it first appeared, and scrolling shooting owes a lot to that game. I’ve definitely come around on it as time has passed.
I wonder if Xevious is one of those videos I did at 30fps? If so, yeah, that could also do with a remastering. I’ll take a look at what state it’s in and if it’s a 30fps video, I’ll remake it down the road.
