They say it’s the WORST shooter on the Mega Drive / Genesis. But just how bad is it?

Such a disappointing game. They really did no favors to Pitfall as a franchise with this one. The animation is great but it totally destroys the playability. It gives it a terribly floaty feel to play.
The Genesis version is probably the best one, but it’s just so depressing that this is what they came up with to carry on the series.
I often hope that someday someone will revive this series with a great game.
I totally agree with you. This is such a poor game and very much I line with most western developed platform action games of the time.
Yeah, too many style over substance titles in that era coming from the west. I was far happier with anything coming from Japan then.
The issue was always that people bought the licensed schlock and thought that was good because they didn’t know any better.
