Analogue & Retrousb FPGA Consoles OT

Yeah, for me the library isn’t large enough or played enough by myself to justify the expense. I have a CRT and an N64 with an expansion pak. There’s not a lot that the 3D offers me other than the HDMI and potential improvements of that. I don’t think there’s any guarantee of framerate increase at all. It’s meant to run like original hardware.

With the Analogue Duo, a whole new world of games was opened for me. That’s not the case with the 3D.

PlayStation and Sega Saturn, which I’m just not sure they’ll ever attempt, are the two that probably interest me the most from that generation by far.

even HDMI is kinda of redundant if you have a good scaler (which if you’re interested in an HDMI solution, and have other consoles you probably already have)

Saturn and PS1 consoles would be cool, because while I like the Mister cores, I really like the experience of using discs and swapping them out for RPGs etc

You might at the very least get iQue level of performance from this, iirc that had a different type of ram.

My feelings as well, a big part of Analogue’s appeal to me is the ability to use them with both flat panel tvs and my CRT. That said it didn’t stay my hand with the preorder.

Hoping they get DAC sorted out, but I have no faith they will do so.

I have ignored all the analogue stuff to this point, but having smooth frame rate N64 actually excites me more than anything else they’ve done.

I still won’t buy it (there’s just more pressing needs for my finances at the moment), but I hope it works out well for those who do.
