I remember getting to the last boss on the second loop with the bracelet and not being able to kill it, never bothered another attempt as there’s no save state frustratingly, props to anyone who beat it!

I guess I’m not done after all. I managed to beat the first loop and reach 3-2 again in the second loop before finally giving my SNES a well earned break (it had been powered on for almost a week). This game becomes incredibly addictive once you get the double jump down and generally limit the second jump to dodging and platforming.

I’ll likely give the second loop another go this weekend using the level select code to start at stage 7 in the first loop.

Why didn’t I know there was a level select before? I feel dumb for not looking it up after restarting the game from scratch 10 times.

Highlight ‘‘Exit’’ on the option screen with controller one. Hold L + Start on controller two and press Start on controller one.

I had given up on playing the game until you gave me this. Now I’m going to just use it to restart where I leave off. Thank you sir.

Played for about 20 minutes an couldnt beat level 1 lol. Fuck this game.

You need at least a few more hours before you finally make it through.

So anyone want to nominate next month? I feel bad for choosing the dark souls of snes games.

I feel like portable games might be better for December so let’s try to keep our nominations in the gb/gbc/GBA/ds/3ds family.

I nominate Link’s Awakening. I have the DX version but if ppl want to play the original I suppose I can play it on my Analogue NT Mini since I don’t have a GB ED yet.

If that is too involved I would be down for a brawler. Lots of brawlers on GBA. Double Dragon Advance and Final Fight Advance.

I guess I’m not done with this game either. My girlfriend and I started playing it again over the weekend and we were able to get to the last level very quickly. Hell, I didn’t continue til stage 3 which is pretty impressive to me. Anyways, just when I think I’m out, Arthur pulls me back in.

Will probably play more tonight.
