Finally got a setup I’m happy with in my gaming corner at home:
Nice and tidy. I like it. Is the CRT a B&O?
That’s just about the nicest looking CRT ever made.
It’s a PAL region set right? Does it do 60hz? SCART? Tell me everything lol.
It does look like a bang and olufsen. I remember trying to find one for a bit before deciding to just let it go.
Indeed it is!!
It’s B&O yeah, I drove a roadtrip with a friend to pick it up here in Norway. They are weirdly not that uncommon here. It’s a MX5500 and PAL but supports 60hz fine. Even has two SCART ports!
Very happy with it, large screen and short death to be a CRT at the back. The picture is nice and sharp but fairly barrel shaped. I think it looks nice, but I could imagine some people don’t like the fairly bendy curve of the screen.
Getting it into picture adjustment mode was a pain. I had to take the back off and short a circuit. Luckily the B&O forums are fantastic for info, even on older models and really helpful users there!
Got any off-screen shots handy? I’d love to see what it looks like when playing games.
I recently updated my retro area with a new shelf for consoles. Handhelds are stored in the baskets at the bottom for now. Pretty happy with how it looks.
Looks great!
Do you have a Famicom or just the FDS? And what’s your paddle game on the bottom shelf?
Yes, I sent my Famicom to @Danexmurder for repair. And the system on the bottom is my wife’s original Pong console.
Nice - on both fronts!
@Radarscope1 It’s on the way back to him now.
@GraveyardDuck Be sure to post a shot when it’s all hooked up!
Hey, Looks great! Glad we got it back in your set up!
My word, you guys have some gorgeous setups in here.
I don’t have room for a multi-console collection but after grabbing a Sony KV-27V42 off craigslist last month I was happy to find it fit perfectly on this thing we were using as a nightstand. So now it’s an N64 shrine.
Looks nice!
Killer N64 setup. That CRT looks perfectly paired for the hardware too!
I also love that all your games are CIB - that’s pretty rare for an N64 collection. Very impressive.
How big is that CRT? Looks massive.
Thank you! The perspective there is really deceptive
; the Trinitron is just a 27" (yay, S-video!) and the boxes are these mini repros from Etsy that fit the size of the cartridge. They look fantastic though. Having the original box-art in a small factor for my loose-cart collection is so nice, plus I can let my kids handle them without freaking out too much lol. I’m planning on ordering more since I’ve made some additions.
