I think I got mine for $58 a couple years ago. Looks like maybe $70 now on the low end.
I can honestly say it’s worth that.

Same here dude. Someday I’ll go for sure.
Finally picked up a game that I’ve been hunting for the better part of a decade:
Might finally force me to do a backlight mod.
Wow. Congrats!
@Boylamite Congrats, I got a boxed Sharp Fami Twin last year, beautiful system!
A good friend of mine gave me these Famicom disk games today for free, early Square titles, anything good here?
Honesty, not sure. I’m just kind of scratching the surface of FDS games and right now I’m kind of seeking out games that have advantages over their NES counterparts - namely, games that utitlize the extra sound channel, or games with save features (like metroid or kid icarus), or some of the more popular FDS games we never saw in the west (like mario bros 2, otocky, Arumana no Kiseki). Still kind of learning the library myself.
@leder nice pick up! As for backlighting your ngpc, I forgot to add to my post, I ordered a kit recently and did my first ever screen mod. It was a minimal amount of soldering, and a bit of shell surgery, but the results are glorious:
Living up to my tag @Peltz, I needed a second SVHS cable for the Neo Geo CD and snagged one on Amazon.
Wow that looks fantastic.
Damn I need one. Might get a backup system to mod…
My main NGPC, after going through many over the years, is a graphite Japanese slim model, maybe they’ll release slim model mods?
I believe there’s a slim version out now. Because the mod involved cutting the shell a bit I went with a 3rd party replacement shell. The quality on the new shell is surprisingly high.
Nice!! That’s the exact same model I have
Man Japanese Mega Drive games look so much cooler than the Genesis stuff we got here.
Yep, always thought that since 1988
Finally grabbed a copy of the Retro Bit release of Metal Storm. Really cool package and a fun new version of the game.
Fantastic! Very cool package!
Famicom Tantei Club I & II remakes arrived today!
They did a good job with the packaging, but what I really liked was the inclusion of Famicom Disc System fliers from the original games. Very neat, and the artwork, particularly for the first title, is beautiful.
Flyers:
Looks great! I ordered the same and it should be here soon; it’s a shame the physical doesn’t have English though.
Love the packing strong text
