Huh, I assume hackers could do wahetever with that? But cool to have an actual ‘cart’.
You’d think. Unfortunately unless I’m missing something, it doesn’t seem like any of the available Egret II Mini homebrew hacks have scan line options. Still a great device though.
Picked up Rave Racer on Switch 2. Man, what an incredibly entertaining arcade game. I was just feeding “quarters” to try and improve my Hi Score and Caravan times. Pretty happy with where they ended up. Only really made a run at Novice and Intermediate tracks so far.
I really like the Caravan implementation. That five minutes is very difficult to go flawless within! I believe 7.12 was my best. 2:25 is where I ended in Hi Score tonight. Manual for that last one. Automatic for the first.
It’s a bit pricey at $18 after tax, but I already got two hours out of it. ![]()
I picked up Rave Racer too but on the series X. I’m actually quite disappointed in the music. I’m sure I remember the Arcade original having a pumping soundtrack similar to the original.
Nice Thunder Force V Special pack. I hope you have the music CD that came with it ![]()
Nice! It’s good to see a quality complete copy of a Japanese Saturn game.
Damn that’s insane for a vintage game… do these things ever have big discounts?
I remember playing it in the arcade and being confused how the home game was different. I played the Rage Racer demo on the disc that came with my PS1 a lot though.
The most frivolous addition to my collection yet. A slightly worse version of a mediocre game (albeit one that has an awesome concept). But it feels right at home on the 3DO y’know? And it does have a neat memory manager!
I’ve been looking forward to this for a while.with the huge guide clearly based on old Nintendo Power magazines.
Will dig in soon.
Got a lot of great stuff the last few months, Famicom disk copies of Zelda and Metroid are both mint with beautiful, flawless manuals.
Haven’t bought much lately, but I picked up these today. The stencil on the one drive is from the University of Alberta, which is where is was born, even though the drive is probably older than I am
Friggin awesome.
Do you have plenty of space for vintage computers? Biggest issue for me lol.
Yeah I kind of took over most of the basement, so I have a permanent setup for retro stuff.
I’m hoping to get there in 10 years or so.
