You should get Duke Nukem 3d and Resident Evil 2 for that thing. Both are hilariously bad.
Actually, how much do Game .com games go for now? Maybe don’t if they’re expensive…

That is more sad than “swag”. I actually played one at a friend’s house. His parents consistently bought him horrible videogame hardware and software. He had a ton of terrible computer shovelware. His mouse was actually shaped like a tv remote with a trackball but you couldn’t lay it flat on the table because the bottom was cylindrical.
The only cool game he owned and felt playable was You Don’t Know Jack. Really felt for him.
I always wanted the Batman game because they used it on the 1up podcast for a long time. IIRC Crispin boyer was quite fond of bringing to push the punch button the whole time they were podcasting.
I laughed harder at this then i should have.
Timely Yard Sale on Saturday. I will purge it.
I had that exact box and I carried it around in it. I wanted it so bad just because I heard it had a Sonic game and I was so disappointed.
If it wasn’t clear, the machine wasn’t mine, it was my sister’s. She mostly played solitaire on it and eventually just started playing that game with real cards instead. I pity those who wanted this or got this as their main portable.
As well you should. I joke about the 32x, and do think it was a trash system, but there was value there maybe…. Not so with the gamecom, and knowing how much I wanted one just because of what a “friend” told me about how good a Sonic game was going to be on it makes me mads to this day.
Amusingly enough I didn’t learn my lesson about going in on handhelds sight unseen for Sonic. I did it for GameGear before the gamecom and the NeoGeo Pocket Color after it. Guess my love of mascot characters causing system purchases worked out for the better more often then not. Debatable on the GameGear…
Great release. My only critique is no remixes
Finally found alttp in the condition I wanted it in odd how something so common can get hard to get. Actraiser one of my Snes favorites.
@Try4ce inspired me to dip my toe into PS2 collecting again. I think burnout takedown looks sharper in 480i but running it in 480p really looks so smooth and my eyes didn’t hurt at all after a hour of playing.
I really do need to get Burnout 3…I haven’t played a Burnout game in so long
I bought it for Xbox but the guy who was giving me his Xbox decided to give it away to his nephew. So I’m down a Xbox. I really am not that impressed with 480p. I remember loving Dreamcast in VGA back in the day but even through the ossc it still looks pretty awful. Playing on my 20L5 has been the only way to play PS2 games as far as I’m concerned. I feel the same way about N64. I love the way the ossc handles 16 bit content on my TV so I don’t know why the 480i/p looks so terrible to me.
Huge 60 game trade today for these (30 N64 and 30 PSX). I don’t collect either N64 or PSX and picked them all up for cheap from my cousin, so I didn’t mind letting it all go. Nice to have a couple of the rarer NES titles in my collecton now. My stuff valued at 1100 and his at 900 but gave him the better deal due to the rarity of the NES titles.
Some nice games in there. I still can’t get over the name S.C.A.T. without snickering a bit.
I bought the Family Computer 1983-1994 book, which is an excellent piece of information for all things Famicom. Color pics of the games and a short introduction for many of them, plus interviews and stuff - and best of all, every bit of text is in english too! Even though the book was released just in Japan. It’s a great coffee table book for your game-oriented guests. (no longer in print, though, they made it for the Famicom 20-year anniversary, so it’s from 2003, but still in good overall shape)
Pretty awesome trade with a good friend of mine, who also happens to be a collector. I had a copy of Trizeal for the Dreamcast I wanted to get rid of, and this is what I ended up getting:
SEGA Rally and Cool Boarders are brand new, while all the other titles have been just opened I believe.
Wow, Switch Blade for the Jaguar? What is that? Straight Amiga port or reworked in any way?
Man oh man, some great games there. I’m lucky to have a couple of those in box but I don’t think I’ll ever own S.C.A.T. (heheh), Sword Master or Dragon Fighter. Were there any rarities in the games you traded them for?
I still can’t believe those controllers. They’re so crazy looking. So they feel more ergonomic than they look?
It’s an enhanced ST port, with the superior Amiga music.
They are actually extremely comfortable. The sides follow the natural curve of the palm and there are molded finger grips on the back, with a nice indent for index finger or the middle finger when using the shoulder buttons on top. Reduces hand cramps, as it gives you something to grip with your ring and pinky fingers, like modern console controllers.
