Crazy. I’d love to try it some day
ST, of course, it makes sense.
There was a fair chunk of multiplatform titles that ran better on the Atari computer, back then, but suffered from appalling sound. So that’s like the best of both worlds.
Not quite retro but it’s one of my all time favorites!
The included art book is great.
Here’s everything unpacked.
Excuse the shitty photos, I’m packing for a move and this is the only clear spot left!
Nothing rare, but all quality titles. All the N64 games also included the manuals and the PSX games were mostly RPG’s complete with case/manuals.
Just picked up Wipeout Pulse for PSP. Believe my Wipeout console collection is complete, now.
Some quality titles in there. Ristar has an amazing soundtrack.
RISE FROM YOUR GRAVE! You just obtained the best game on Genesis… POWER UP.
This is the haul I got from letgo last weekend.
The coleco includes everything, and I tested it out at my friend’s place, since I currently have no way to play RF consoles. Time to start looking into RGB or composite modding the coleco and 5200.
That Colecovision, all the boxed games and the steering wheel module are awesome. And you got Turbo and Pit Stop, that both use the steering wheel.
Good luck playing Pac-Man with the mushy analog 5200 controllers. ;-p Real Sports Baseball has speech synthesis though, which was pretty cool for back then.
Coleco is a fun machine apart from the controllers. Best of the ‘in between’ generation (Intelli, Coleco, Odyssey 2, 5200, SG100 etc).
Fuck Wikipedia’s bullshit generation definitions, the 1982 Colecovision is not the same gen as the 1977 VCS.
Amazing condition, how does the Coleco steering wheel work? The gas pedal is right next to the steering wheel?!
Knees into your chin, man.
I would put the Odyssey2 (1978) and Intellivision (1980, 1979 for test market) in the VCS’ generation but the whole thing’s messy and labeling console generations rarely works well anyway. But yeah, it’s stupid to put the VCS and ColecoVision in the same gen.
The pedal comes out and has a wire that attaches it back to the steering wheel. It’s pretty neat. I am super excited about this. I’ve been wanting a Coleco for some time now, but just couldn’t find a good deal on one. When I tested it at my friend’s place we played a ton of Donkey Kong and Smurfs. I definitely want to get Montezuma’s Revenge for it. I loved that game on my Apple II GS as a kid.
I’m thinking about sending it to Yurkie (spelling) on AtariAge to be RGB modded. Anyone have any first hand experience with him and doing that? It sucks that he’s literally the only one out there with an RGB board/mod for it right now. I don’t know if I should wait or get it done by him. I know there’s a composite video board from RetroFixes I believe, but if i can get RGB from it, I’d rather do that.
Lmao! I’m picturing it in my head now!
The issue (in general with Wikipedia) is that one aggressive editor’s version becomes ‘reality’. So now you have people saying ‘X is a 6th gen system’ as if it’s some kind of hard fact. And then they get their knickers in a knot with something like the Switch, which is Nintendo’s second competitor to the PS4, very much like how the Mark III/Master System was Sega’s second gen system but both were up against the same Nintendo system.
There’s nothing academic about Wikipedia, I think it’s likely done more harm than good TBH.
I was eyeballing that on Amazon.com, such a great read and I love the artwork.
The creator of this game a special needs child. I tend to want re-buy it just because its a hard life and i feel like this is a way to ease some of the burden
I love Axiom Verge and I bought it day 1,before his child was born. Since following his troubles I’ve rebought the game on every platform it comes to. It’s inexcusable what happened to his child and I give huge props to his publisher for helping out.
Besides the issues with his child I like to support devs that deserve it. Tom was tired of programming EA sports games and knew they would never greenlight a game like Axiom Verge so he left and did it himself. Without devs like this the gaming industry is going into a place I don’t care for!
Also the game rocks!
