Man, Dino Crisis 1 had such a great atmosphere. They really nailed the dread and the heart-pounding action of the best bits of Jurassic Park with a good dose of Resident Evil of course!

That looks awesome. Need to play that game. I have the Dreamcast version as well, not sure which one I should start with. Interesting that you can still see dithering slightly even on CRT’s though.
I’ve been getting into PS1 recently, and that’s been accelerated recently with the announcement of the PSN shutdown, with the PsOne Classics still being the most cost-effective way to play a lot of those games.
Playing the games in 240p on my PSP through the OSSC with and without scanlines made me realize that there’s probably no other console suited more to CRT’s than that one. Your shots really reminded me of the beginning of MGS1. Here’s a gif of it with and without scanlines.

Lightning Fighters looks gorgeous on an arcade monitor. Beautiful pixel art, IMO even more so than Raiden against which it’s frequently compared, often unfavorably.

Yeah, well almost, it’s still beta and you need to support Jotego on Patreon for like $3 if you want to play it now. It’s going to be made free/public soon though, maybe around May?
Got my N64 earlier this week and I’ve been glued to it most evenings. Looks great via S-Video, the antialiasing really produces such a clean image.

Looks clean. Sucks we didn’t get this one back on N64 and had to start with the GCN port in NA. I would’ve loved it as a kid.

Yeah, crazy to think that Europe didn’t get the game until late 2004 either, Nintendo really did a bad job with Iwata European releases until Iwata promised to do much better with DS, which they did.
