This display is 240p perfection.
The second shot of the green dragon is incredible. The pixel blending transforms the sprite work.
Great set.
thanks!
Sengoku Ace II on Sega Saturn. Nice shooter, but really short in my opinion.
Setup:
- Sega Saturn HST-3200 NTSC-J with Fenrir ODE and Scart RGB cable (csync)
- Samsung Plano CS15k8mjq SD CRT TV with native Scart RGB input
- Photos by Xiaomi Note 5 Pro android phone.
it’s super hard, probably why it’s so short. there’s a second loop which I hope to one day see
Some PC Engine shots here from Mystic Formula running at 1440p on a 4K panel via the Retro Tink 5Xpro with PVM settings.
Finally I got to see how DS games would look like on a CRT! glorious 192p!
10" Slotmask CRT - MelonDS emulator (no enhancements)
3D games on the DS have a PS1/Saturn vibe to them (but without the wobble, z-fighting, polygon seems)
Looking forward to the day when those DS consolizers release, particularly the VGA one. I’ve been tempted by those composite mods that are already out.
This is great! Tell us about your set up.
It’s CRT Emudriver (replacement GPU drivers geared towards 15khz output) and an old AMD GPU that can output VGA/RGBHV and then a Sync combiner to make RGBS for my consumer 15khz CRT. Then various emulators, Retroarch, Duckstation etc
I think you’d enjoy it, it’s pretty versatile but somewhat of a faff to use, so much tweaking lol
Looks nice and authentic.
It’s Demon Emperor Gyaba from Super Contra.
Correct

How did you access the PVM mask on the RetroTink? Still have not been able to find the menu for the various masks.

All games were running at 1440p via a Retrotink 5Xpro. The signal was coming via RGB from an original PC Engine.
nice!
does it have screen resizing settings?
These are the settings for the game. x1 is 320x240
I think x1 and fullscreen @1440p on my LCD looked okay, don’t think there was any shimmering unless the blur was hiding it
