Here’s the same area with the monitor at 192p 120hz
Interesting stuff.
Not the best photo, but I’ve been trying out some profiles on my Framemeister while checking out Alisia Dragoon.
Alisia Dragoon is a really great game. Not a masterpiece, but certainly one of those games that feels like a product of its time in a good way.
It’s one of those games that leaves such a strong impression with such great fundamentals, that it would have been a great franchise if they had made a sequel. It reminds me of Mega Man 1.
Damn now I want a copy
It’s been a while since I booted up this game but I wanted to redo some audio captures of the game and just thought I load up some old game saves of the White Fiend - Lunar2 Eternal Blue
Saturn / RGB / OSSC

I’ve been thinking about giving Lunar for the Saturn a go since I got an MPEG card. I’m not quite in the mood for a game that will take super long yet but when I am that’s probably the first thing i’ll play.
On topic: I was playing Sonic CD a bit but my disc is scratched and it freezes regularly. Quite the bummer. I sure could use a Sega CD ODE.
I’d say lunar SSSC is about a 30hr game. Depends how much you spend grinding but the bosses scale up depending on your level.
Lunar2 is much longer game
Sega Saturn, RGB on my Trinitron KV-14LT1B.
Out Run (SEGA Ages jap), Space Harrier (SEGA Ages jap), Street Fighter 2 : the world warrior (Capcom Collection 5 jap) :
That’s how Street Fighter II looks in my memories the first time I ever saw it in the arcade. What an excellent pixel layout.
It has the optimal amount of sharpness and softness for my tastes.
Same for me, the original World Warrior (with original colors and true bosses non playable) is still one of the best looking game ever, and my best fighting game ever made.
The art is unrivaled. So much work, the stages (with one for each character, the solo is a journey), the fighters personality, the amount of work to draw them with this painting style.
And your screen conveys it all perfectly.
Fuck that’s great.
Love the Zero series’ background art and character sprites.
Yet again Guilty Gear X on Jap Dreamcast with VGA cable and LG 18" CRT VGA Monitor with genuine Scanlines in 31khz - Slot Mask (gasp)
Simply awesome.
Really amazing.
I’ll see your slot mask, and raise (lower) you a shadow mask.
Hollow Knight for PC, on a 15 inch crt monitor.
I really feel that the bloom, and slight phosphor retention (in not sure what it’s technically called) compliment this game’s visuals so much. And turning down the brightness, to give deeper blacks, helps with the moodiness. There are some dark, dark caves in Deepnest.
Phone pics (I really should dig out the DSLR one of these days).
My regular old lcd looks completely washed out in comparison.
