Panzer Paladin looks amazing. Fantastic shots! are both these games 4:3?
You know, I didn’t realize it but yes, they both filled the screen on my monitors. The 4:3 was seamless and didn’t even notice the difference when I jumped between my CRT and OLED set up.
That’s good news, nice to see 4:3 support!!
Yes. This is fantastic news.
I’ve had my eye on both of these games, and 4:3 support is wonderful news.
I’ll have to settle with a reshade scan line option, as neither down-sampling or slg are available to me.
Many shaders from retroarch have been ported to the reshade, so lining up scan lines is very manageable.
Shovel Knight (PC) with reshade mask on Viewsonic CRT monitor.
Looks good in motion too.
Looks like real 240p… I wouldn’t be able to tell that’s not a genuine downscale or native res. Great filter.
I’m sure playing on a CRT helps achieve the effect though.
Looks awesome!
I think a modern high end display with 4k pixels gives you plenty to work with to simulate scanlines, shadowmask, phosphor glow. But you really need a screen that can crank out a lot of brightness. Mine has a quantum dot panel with 1200nits peak brightness.
Dial Q wo Mawase (ダイヤルQをまわせ!), bootleg Japanese mahjong game for Megadrive. Setup: Megadrive HAA-2510 (Scart RGB), Samsung Plano CS15k8mjq 15kHz (Scart RGB in).
Very cool.
Wolfenstein 3-D port on Megadrive!!! It plays really smooth. Setup: Megadrive HAA-2510 (Scart RGB), Samsung Plano CS15k8mjq 15kHz (Scart In).
Re: Wolfenstein
(Sarcasm) But what did the robot Nazi’s ever do to us?
The shots look great
I’ve been stuck at home for 3 days waiting for a COVID test so I polished up a few more levels in DKC3 and goofed around with the Game Boy Interface.
Both shots on a Sony PVM20L2.
Beautiful! Love that level. Great shot.
One of my favorite boards in my collection. I think that game is really underrated. I need to go back and finish tweaking the plexis I designed for this board.
Finally got Undercover Cops for Super Famicom. What a nice Arcade to SuFami port it is. Graphics!
Setup: Super Famicom SHVC-001 with Scart RGB Cable, Samsung Plano CRT TV 15" with native Scart input (15kHz).
I seem to have ironed out the kinks with my GC setup so I thought I’d play some Zero Mission to celebrate. I’m using the Raphnet GC to SNES adaptor and it is a revelation to play GBA games with a great d-pad.
Game Boy Interface High Fidelity on a Sony PVM20L2 via Insurrection Industries component cables
Looks awesome! One of my favorite games.
I love the softness of the scan lines here. Everything blends together so nicely.
