Sega Genesis/Mega Drive |OT| WELCOME TO THE NEXT TOPIC

Not quite. It came out in either December 1994 or January 1995. I remember renting it shortly after Christmas 1994 and playing through it in a one sitting (around seven hours). It was amazing.

Did any one else notice he was using a Chinese repro of the Japanese Cyberball game
I thought that was kind of funny.

Well spotted. Did not see that!

Just realized this hasn’t been posted here.

I think these would be a great solution to replace the audio chip in “the stinker.” I’ll have to dig into that a bit.

I saw this game via a bump to the genesis thread on Era. There is a downloadable playable demo rom on their website. It will also release on Steam and Switch.

It is a platform-based game with some metroidvania elements inspired by a lot of others MegaDrive/Genesis titles like Ghouls’n Ghosts, Castlevania, Mickey Mania, Space Harrier or Panzer Dragoon.

I played about 10 minutes of the demo on MiSTer. The movement and combat both feel really good with some platforming in there as well. I’m looking forward to playing some more of it.

Was just coming here to ask if anyone has played it. It just released on steam today. Looks really cool.

You can see tons of inspiration from other games in there.

This is a strange new world.

Wow, that looks amazing. I wonder if it will ever be completed? I’d buy a physical copy for sure.

This comes highly recommended - the Columbus Circle re-issue of Panorama Cotton.

The only way I’d ever own a licensed copy on MD, also grabbed the limited Switch port of course.

High quality stuff with a slightly transparent cart

And the slip is reversible so you can have the original art too.

I regretted skipping the Strictly Limited games release, but luckily this came out and is way better for me as I am mainly Japanese for MD.

That looks high quality.

Indistinguishable in quality from original releases.

Actually that brings up a point to me, Japanese Mega Drive games were always very high quality, colour manuals, great quality plastics. A very premium feel. But most western ones often (always?) had cheapo one colour manuals and cheap plastics used t for the carts. At least for all the PAL and US carts I have had over the years.

Krikzz has a new Everdrive that’s about as simple and cheap as you can get.
