Sega Saturn |OT| - Playin' Saturn each day keeps Segata away!

Yep, and I still need to get more of them!

Phoebe will be going on sale on Saturday at 18:00 CEST (noon ET for those who can’t subtract two small numbers :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:).

I have a discord I made for a bot to spam when GDEmu guy’s ODEs go on sale. If anyone’s interested, I put a link to it in #sega on RGB discord.

I picked up a model 2 Japanese Saturn this week (I think it’s the last revision - HST-0019) and I’m loving it so far.

There are a lot of Japan-only games that I wanted to check out, either for the first time or with the proper controller (Cotton 2 really needs a good D-Pad and comfortable button arrangement) so I’m really happy now.

Bit gutted that the Sega AGES game that I tried - Space Harrier - exhibited compatibility issues though. Apparently there’s a later reprint that fixes the issue?

I don’t want to keep Segata away.

The inner ring of the CD-ROM contains the game’s complete serial number. This will let you know whether you’re playing an original pressing or a revision. For Space Harrier:

GS-9108P-00902 (Original)
GS-9108P-00902A (Revision)

The other game that has issues is Sega Ages OutRun:

GS-9110P-01050 (Original)
GS-9110P-01050A (Revision)

Thank you! I’ll keep this in mind when I look for a replacement.

I have ascended! This thing is great. I only wish there was a way to save to the SDcard. I have PseudoKai on my Action Replay for the pre programmed cheats and better Phoebe menu, but I cant save. So I’ll either have to get another or flash it back to stock.

Nice, but you can’t save on the internal memory in the Saturn itself?

Yeah but now I have every game at easy access so it filled up super quick, lol.

Maybe someone has informations about a minor issue I have.
Japanese Mission Stick on a japanese Saturn model 1, running in Europe.
With Space Harrier or After Burner, my sprite shakes a little bit 80% of the time.
I can still enjoy the games, but that’s not perfect.
I disassembled and cleaned the Mission Stick, bought a second one… Still shaking.
By the way Space Harrier with these control close to the original, is so good. You are the sprite, one of my favorite games.

“You are the sprite,” I love it.

If you’re playing Shining Force 3, you’ll want a backup cart. It’s nice to have in general but any RPG will eat up your battery backed saves quickly.

Ok, that make sense, thanks for telling me that.

Space harrier is on Saturn?
