This little box really packs a punch and as of writing this post, it is under 50 USD.

One for the PC Engine fans this week

No gameboy port?

The GameBoy, SNES and Arcade games are all different to the original.

We are back to the world of Wonder Boy this week in the only game that doesn’t actually fit in with the rest of the series.

The title says it all.

Haven’t watched yet, but I’ve had the original Omega for a while now, and it’s been absolutely perfect. Great flash cart.

I’d agree. I also have the original which have served me very well. This new one is just the same in many ways but has a load of bells and whistles. Especially for those in to DS homebrew! Being able to use the Omega DE as a RAM cartridge is very handy.

New Life in Japan video out now and I’ll be doing a Live Halloween stream tomorrow (October 31st) at 16:00 JST.

Did a live stream tonight of Fatal Frame - the new one that was originally a Wii U exclusive but now remastered on PS4, Switch and Xbox.

This is one that’s been requested for quite some time now. Wonder Boy III - The Dragon’s Trap.

OOh baby. I love this game. The master system version was my very first eBay purchase.
Back when eBay wasn’t a terrible cesspool.

When I bought this game, the Internet wasn’t even a thing

Ha ha ha, yes, well if it makes you feel any better, the first time I played it, it was rental all the way.
The ebay thing was all about nostalgia. I had only just gotten a Megadrive and was looking for one of those converter carts. Just so I could play Wonderboy at my leisure, the amount of devotion I have given that game is something else.

And yet I have not once finished it.

Great video. The game was obviously pretty niche in NA but I played both the SMS and TG16 versions back then. I found Dragon’s Curse disappointing with its new character designs that clash with the rest of the art style. Like SNES Super Mario All-Stars, there are some improvements but overall there are too many things that look and feel off compared to the originals.

Did you know this game started life on the Atari ST using the MIDI Ports?
