I love Ketsui on the DS. helped me really understand Cave patterns, and playing it on a 3DS with its little analog stick felt surprisingly great to play

For sure, it just needs to hit the point where I don’t feel it’s an issue, and every game via the Analogue Dock feels really bad, even flicking through menus in Final Fantasy V.
iirc Mars Matrix isn’t the most responsive game to begin with (at least on Dreamcast?) so it’s basically a lost cause on the Analogue with the increased latency, haha.

Border down has some of the best music in any game. The visuals are great. The game is cool but not worth the money it’s going for these days. I really dig it, but I don’t several-hundred-dollars dig it.

The DC port of MM is fine latency wise, it’s the other Takumi game, Gigawing that has a ton of addition latency on DC. CPS2 averages out at 2.6f of input lag on real hardware so not exactly the most resposive base for everything to work from.

Any opinions here on Blast Wind overall? Been wanting to get a Saturn copy on and off for quite awhile, looks great based on videos I’ve seen but of course is also rather spendy.

I read somewhere that the port of original/2D sprite Cotton which is included with Cotton Reboot was based on the Sharp 68K version (which got high praise from you on Battle of the Ports as your favorite version of the game). Was wondering if you knew how faithful the Reboot version is to the actual Sharp 68k game, is it a faithfully emulated port or is it just a skin?
I do own reboot on the PS4. From what I remember it is the X68000 version but the story scenes use the new high resolution text from the reboot.
If you really want to know I can boot it up and take a few images.

Been absent from my favorite thread, but I keep playing mostly shmups exclusively.
Been playing Mushihimesama Maniac mode, really close to getting a 1CC. Hopefully I can clear it while live-streaming on October 12th for the game’s 20th anniversary.
