I was looking at your thumbnail and thinking that had to be Aerofighters/Sonic Wings. I didn’t know Turbo Force was the direct predecessor to that game series and the development of Psikyo as a company.

I did some googling.
Here’s a short little interview about how the game was necessary for the Sonic Wings series to exist:

Also this screenshot from I think the first Sonic Wings with an Easter egg in the background

I believe you can play the car as a secret character in the third Aerofighters.

Nice, thanks for sharing!

I must admit that I had never heard of Turbo Force before. Interesting that it’s Sonic Wings’ predecessor.

Yeah this is the 1st time I heard of Turbo Force as well.

This is the GBC “prototype”, which was complete but never released. They say “unreleased” but the ROM has been available for a while.

It’s Radikal Bikers in the style of an old Gaelco isometric racer such as World Rally.

Yeah, I’ve noticed. Is that version any good?

I’ve only ever played the arcade version. Pretty fun, and who can forget that Pizza Man song?

Arcade version, PlayStation version.

This GBC version is what it is, much simplified.

I love isometric racers (been playing Super Skidmarks and the World Rally games recently on the Evercade), so I’m looking forward to giving it a whirl!

Next week’s Arcade Archives release is both old and obscure: it’s Namco’s 1980 shoot 'em up Navarone.

How cool does that look?

Makes me want to play it knowing nothing else!

Yeah, I watched a gameplay video and it seems quite different from shoot 'em ups from that era, so it has piqued my interest.

Dig Dug II will be joining Hamster’s Arcade Archives lineup soon.

Never heard of this one, reminds me of R-Type.

Yeah, it definitely has that R-Type look. Apparently it’s a rather hard game.

This Arcade Archives release is the second Allumer title (Magical Speed was the first one) of a total of four arcade games released by the company. The two remaining titles, one-on-one fighter Blandia and vertically scrolling shoot 'em up Mad Shark, will probably get the Arcade Archives treatment in the not-too-distant future.
