Oh wow, had no idea. I now know who to contact if we ever have questions.
You know what’s funny is a lot of these really old game box arts have the artwork framed, which nowadays you only really see on horrible best price/platinum/players choice type releases. Yet these ones actually pull the look off very well! Probably helps that it’s a consistent look. Atari Lynx was similar too, though I think that had a few variant styles including full bleed artwork.
Does anyone have a good source for Intellivision box art, grouped? I also loved their art though it was a step below the stuff Atari was doing IMO.
I found this but it’s kinda low-res and incomplete
I’ve not checked but my first port of call would be a Hyperspin pack.
Or LaunchBox Games DB but that would be per-game https://gamesdb.launchbox-app.com
Oh nice. Ditto for Imagic… poor Imagic …
Demon attack, so good!
I collect Australian ‘soft case’ Colecovision games, will pull those out at some point for show. I’ve actually made up a couple for games that were not released here too.
Good point.
Konami’s NES releases slowly dropped the framing too.
I pointed Jeff to your site around the time you started using Discourse. He and I have “known each other” in an Internet sense for 20 years now.
This is great branding. I love them.
