Yea this isn’t looking right. Notice the ringing above the white diagonal bar representing the rope of the wrestling ring (in front of the guy’s forehead). The bald guy has the same ringing above his head. You may need to zoom in on mobile to see it.

Either the scaling is wrong or the filter is incorrectly applied.

I just read:

  • Pre-orders through Amazon UK were cancelled on 29 Oct 2020
  • Those orders would ship from Germany
  • New higher EU import/export taxes comes in today, 1 Jan 2021
  • It will now ship Feb 2021

Coincidence? I think not.

(I also read the bundled controllers generally don’t feel great, and that the main controller is a modified GameSir controller)

I read that even though they say shipping will start in February (let’s see if it does) that will only be orders placed in 2018. Orders from 2019 will start shipping Q2 until the later in the year, and more recent orders are even further out.

What a joke.

Damn, that looks better than the light gun the Sinden guys are selling. It appears it will be locked to the Polymega though which is a shame.

It keeps getting worse for them!

I should have known! It seems like DIY emulation and community efforts are so much better than when folks try to turn it into a business. Analouge is the best example I can think of and even they have been criticized for over-promising and their marketing.

Another update y’all!

While I like the form factor I don’t get the appeal of this machine.
My emulator dedicated PC I use for Battle of the Ports plays up to PS3 and Xbox 360 just fine and I can use all original discs on it and original controllers via USB adaptors. Sure I can’t use original carts on it without buying some fancy accessories but neither can the polymega. But get this, my EMULATION PC cost about the same to build 4 years ago! And let’s not forget it can do everything a regular PC can too.

It doesn’t appeal to me, personally, but I could see it as a good machine for messing around with for people unwilling to pay for FGPA or real hardware.
