Very nice. Love this setup, love the cable management. Are you power cords aftermarket? I notice they look smaller than the typical huge OEM AC adaptors.
Looks awesome! I’d like to do something similar with my wiring, but the tiny amount of space in the back of this TV stand doesn’t really make it possible.
Using 2x2818SP Pro-Elec 8 Individually Switched Surge Protected Extension Leads.
I actually could do with one more but sadly Farnel no longer stocks them but they can be found on ebay.

Sadly the UK Megadrive Power Bricks I recently refurbished which I use to power my Famicom, Super Famicom and Megadrive end up covering the socket above the one used using these and are hidden in a different location at the moment.
All the rest of the power cables are pretty standard UK molded plug “Kettle” and “8” leads of various lengths to suit my needs all with 3A fuses in them. So nothing special at all.
The desk is 1.8m wide and has a depth of 0.8m. It is rather big and like the majority of my furniture (excluding the 3 white Ikea units) came from a local second hand furniture recycler at the bargain price of £10 (GBP) delivered. The caveat is that the desks surface is not the best in some places which is not helped by me doubling up using the desk for mod work which as inevitably caused more scratches to it.
Here is a better photo of it:
I am also using a VonHaus Single Arm Desk Mount (Highly Recommend them!) which is VESA compatible and allows for great freedom of movement and rotation for my only “modern” cheap AOC IPS 1080p monitor.
To Do:
- Link up my Hitachi CM802E to my Extron Crosspoint via one of several options I have available to me so it can also be used has an extra output for the NAOMI and Dreamcast.
- Possibly hook up my Extron VSC700 so I can send an output from my PC down-scaled to 480i for esoteric VHS recording or display on any type of SD CRT.
- Sort out a permanent setup for both the CPS2 and MVS arcade hardware. Will need to build some JAMMA harnesses, buy some additional cabling I require and possibly use dedicated adjustable arcade PSU for all of them instead of switching between one power supply every time I want to use a different arcade system.
- Purchase a Mega CD.
- Purchase a Dreamcast BBA.
- Purchase a Famicom Disk System.
Nice! I’ve got two of those monitor arms as well, they are great. Mine are VIVO brand, but it’s the same thing, just branded differently.
I’ve got one on a 24", and one on a 27". They’ve been great for years.
Nothing quite like a little cable porn to get me going on a Monday.
I have that same TV branded as Emerson! Love the little thing, using it as an RF station is a good idea!
P.S. That paneling doe.
Love that setup. I can hear Steely Dan playing in the background on the hifi
That RF cart is awesome man… once I get a little more room for my stuff, I would like to do the same. My 2600 and Intellivision are collecting dust on top shelf of my book case right now, and I need to get them some use.
Is there any reason to use a 2600 over a 7800 to play 2600 games? Couldn’t you just have the one thing hooked up?
I could just use the 7800 but since I own two 7800s and two 2600s I hooked up both. If I ever end up buying an Astrocade of Odyssey 2 they would probably replace the 2600.
I have a lot of redundant consoles so I try to spread them between my set ups. That way there’s no waiting and everyone can play the game/system they want.
here it is! happy to have a dedicated game room finally, pics are a mess but it’s great

pay your respects on the way in

mad dog bathroom too

and here’s other stuff

crap i missed the sony/xbox shelf close-up and the consoles shot is way too dark - more to come!
Siiiiiiiiiickkkkkk
I like the colour coded shelves to match the company! Close up of the SMS games?
thanks! and will get it for you tonight!
The larger the collection gets, the harder it is to take photos of everything.
Great collection, IrishNinja.
Looking awesome dude!
Love your shelving and how well packed and organised they seem!
I really don’t have the room for such shelving unless I put it against the wall at the top of my stairs (hmm not an bad idea actually…) as I don’t have many straight walls.
Great you know that the SEGA banner goes above the Nintendo one!
Fantastic set up. Wish I could come over and hang out there.
balanced, as all things should be~
