Here is a basic PS4 set-up at my mother’s place (it will be retro one day…)
I will post a proper retro set-up next week when I get home!

I dig this. Minimalist and tidy - everything you need is right there.
Stealth gaming. When the “adults” come in, just draw the curtain
If the adults aren’t gaming with the kids, get new adults
Setup in the “office” with a Beovision MX3000 in the corner that can turn around to face the bed.
And in the living room I am setting up my new retro corner with a Beovision MX8000.
Still need to tidy up and hook up more consoles, currently only Saturn and PS2 is connected and a raspi with a scart shield to use as media center.
Jealous. Gorgeous looking tv.
I been actively looking for Beovisions as they look so good and got great speakers even tho they ain’t the most reliable TV’s ^^
Goal is to replace the MX3000 with a MX4000/4200 now.
@Migon snap!
Oh yeah~
Haven’t posted in a long time and this is not really a setup pic, but thought I’d share how both my kids enjoy retro games at the same time!
It’s been a while since I last posted. I wish I could set everything up nicely like raskulous, but I think I did ok with the space I have. I have 7 setups or ways to play in the basement.
I didn’t like the look of games everywhere as it made me feel claustrophobic so I bought some Drona boxes and placed all the games that aren’t currently being played in them.
In the middle of the room are four ottomans.
The front two hold extra controllers.
The back two hold extra consoles and miscellaneous controllers such as a Rockband drum set.
On top of the ottomans I have baskets to hold the controllers for quick play and the middle basket holds the games currently being played.
I finally replaced my decades old 1080p TV with a cheap TCL set. It’s not amazing but its low latency and 4k.
I plan on replacing the X1 and PS4 with the latest versions sometime in the next two years. I’m not that excited for current gen. I play most of the current gen games on my PC.
In the corner I have a little cart with a 13" CRT for the 2600, Intellivision, and Colecovision.
To the left of the RF Cart are the handhelds and laptop/old device storage. I need to buy a couple baskets to make everything easily accessible.
Laptops for playing older games.
Next to the handheld station is the composite corner. I still need to set up a couple consoles here such as a 3DO and PC-FX.
I have some USB cables anchored here for quick controller/handheld charging.
Behind the futon are more games and a selection of display items.
I built a couple carts for moving around the basement.
Cart1 - Retro:
Cart 2 - Recent Red VS Blue
This cart is for local multiplayer. It has dual 360s and dual ps3s for head to head play. The monitors can move to tate or yoko for STGs.
Cart 3 - The non existent cart. I was recently gifted a 40" Sony LCD and I plan on hooking up a Xbox 1 or PS4 to it or maybe a PS3 to play Time Crisis 4.
During the pandemic I combined my work from home and gaming setup. The result is the STG Station.
On the right there are four monitors. Two PCs and one laptop feed in to them.
Right PC is daily driver and left PC is for testing/learning.
The left side has dual monitors and a TV. I plan on replacing the TV with a 32" monitor next year. I originally wanted to use the component on the TV but ended up going full HDMI/SCART. The two monitors can rotate for STG games.
Right PC is for modern games and left PC is for anything that will run on Windows XP. To the left of the XP machine is a cheese grater. The laptop on top for capturing video.
Consoles for the STG Station:
I hope that this gives others ideas for their game room as I’ve been inspired by this thread. Thanks again!
I have a few of those black baskets you are using for you Wii U and games. I use them for storing controllers.
I have no idea where I bought them but seeing someone out side Japan has the same baskets, I’m guessing I bought them at IKEA.
Incredible setup, it looks amazing! Your Mario blanket is backwards
Looks so clean, and I love how you’ve got some room for the old RF beasts. They can be some of the most fun with friends gunning for high scores.
Not my retro game setup but this years Christmas decorations.
Counts, because of SEGA PSO decorations, right?
Nice, I like it!
I wanted to buy the SNES and Genesis ornaments, but it came down to a “do I really need this right now” moment amongst all the other holiday spending. I think they’re available on amazon too.
Thanks! I wish I had enough room to have a dedicated retro PC set up. I agree with the RF beasts. I stole your idea of a score board and purchased a whiteboard for keeping track.
Thanks for telling me about the Mario blanket. I did some quick cleaning and must have gone a little too fast.
Storing controllers in them is a great idea. I combine them with undergarment organizers. You can fit up to 30 controllers in a single Drona box! You can double up on the smaller controllers such as Saturn, NES, SNES and Wii.
The controller organizers are three deep and each organizer holds around five controllers. I even have enough space left at the top for a WiiU gamepad and MiSTer keyboard.
All of the controllers for the Shmup Station fit inside a single Drona box:

Nice use on the Wii and games. They fit DVD cases well but they really shine for smaller stuff like NES or SNES carts.
Looks like a great place to sit back, sip some coffee or cocoa and play a game.
Since last year I upgraded my main TV to the LG C1 and managed to decorate a little bit. Pretty happy with it
I’m guessing you like Zelda .
What size is that LG model?
