Post your Retro Setup in Here

Yeah, it’s very odd that Ikea sells no plain white backing for the Kallax (and matching backing for the other Kallax colors). Considering how modular and customizable so much of their stuff is, I feel like they’re leaving money on the table. I’d have happily bought a backing from them had they sold it lol

And yeah, the LED lights work wonders for me. I like a dark environment to play games in, but not pitch black, and having some faint light slowly changing colors while I play is lovely, I really liked it with my old setup, too. There’s not even that many LEDs - I strung a single strip along the top of the back of the Kallaxs, and a little bit around the corner on the left where there’s a cutting point. It’s plenty bright as is, and yet I still have quite a few feet left on the roll lol

Does anyone have a good anti-glare/UV blocking film recommendation? I have two smallish windows in my nerd room and it’d be nice to open the windows occasionally and not ruin the viewing experience on my TVs or worry about sun damage on my carts and boxes.

Awesome set up, never seen such a huge G&W collection, very cool.

Got a link to the buzz kit you installed in your Vectrex? I could use that for mine, but I’m also kind of torn on the idea.. it’s like the buzzing is an old school integral part of the experience and I’m not sure if I would want to get rid of that or not.

What do you think? Do you like the change?

I like the change, I found the buzz annoying. I am super late to the Vectrex party though and don’t have nostalgia for it - I first played it at PAX East in 2013 lol

Yeah me too, I actually learned about the buzzing when I tested the system at the person’s house I was buying from. I’m 45, but I never played it when I was young.

Yeah you’ve got about six years on me, but I had never seen one either until that point at PAX.
