RULES
- Competitions last two weeks, and close @ midnight on the final day.
- Post screenshots in this thread as proof.
- The winner from the previous competition chooses the next game to play.
- You cannot choose twice in a row. 2nd place will choose if someone wins twice in a row.
- If there’s a tie, the person that submitted the high score first gets to choose.
- Games must be high score compatible (think “arcade style scores” like Pac-Man, or Spy Hunter, not Super Mario).
- Emulation is okay (MAME is often the best for high scores).
- No save state manipulation (pausing to take a break is fine though).
- Submit scores as soon as you get them! To keep the competition rolling and fair, do not hold on until the last moment to submit.
Points will be awarded for the entrants, based on the position finished. This is to encourage wider participation, and the points will be posted on the website after each battle is complete.

Overall, we should keep it simple. This is just a good time, not a crazy official high score competition! Game plays should ideally be short and fun so people that can’t invest hours into this can still compete. Obviously we are working on a trust based system here, so don’t ruin it for the others!

I feel the Flying Airships turrets before the end boss of stage 2 is the choke point.
Stage 3 is relatively easy afterwards.

Would be cool to get you guys competing again.
I was looking for a way to play this because I don’t have MAME set up but I see it was only ever released on PS4 in Japan. I’ll have to track it down and set things up.

Retroarch MAME core worked well for me, then you just can grab the single ROM.
I bombed those. The score above is my first time through them.
Really cool game. I know I read about it in the past but had never played it before now. Raizing made some awesome stuff.
Make sure you submit this on the site! You can submit multiple times and it’ll only keep your highest score.
It updates the table automatically so I don’t have to do all the manual work to the site.

Finally got past the stage 4 boss

Nice! That section is a pain in the ass.. if you’re not powered up enough when those guys start crossing the screen firing arrows you can easily get overwhelmed. I find it’s a come point for me that gets be into trouble.
I’m not sure, but I’m pretty certain I died to the last boss. Would have been nice to get that kill and wrap to get a bunch of extra points in the 2nd loop.
I did better today. Don’t think I’ll get anywhere close to you guys though.
Finally got a run I’m relatively happy with after switching to Gain, though I ate a dumb death at the end of stage 5 before the boss (stupid lancer robots!). Felt like I’ve could’ve 1cced the game if not for that

I’m not done with this game too. I really want to 1CC it before the end of the contest..!
And so I did! Made it to 2-3
It was a really good run too because I died right at the start of stage 4 but happened to get a really good pattern on the stage 5 boss and good RNG on stage 6 (three bombs!) Awesome game.
