RGB Pick Up Thread Of Swag!

I haven’t played a lot of Psikyo stuff in the past but this game looked super cool. Glad ilI grabbed it. It’s a blast to play but it is tough as nails! Sometimes I’ll get through a particularly crazy part by the skin of my teeth and other times I just die a lot. So far I’ve made it to the 3rd stage boss without dying but that is as good as I can do for now.

Yeah the Strikers games look pretty cool on a cab, I really should pick them up. But the one Psikyo game I’d really like is Dragon Blaze, that game looks pretty amazing and is very fun to play as well.

I’m tempted to grab one of these to play Morrowind. I’ve always wanted a portable version of that game.

A couple of new RPGs, one that I expect to be very unconventional and the other very safe.

I picked up Dragon Quarter after playing Dead Rising and reading how the game’s mechanics were inspired by it. Really interested in trying it out.

Edit: Forgot to mention I also picked up Another Code R on Wii, which seems like an adventure game worth checking out. RIP CiNG.

I’ve been on the hunt for Worldwide Soccer '98 on the Saturn for a while now, as it’s really hard to come by. Took a chance on an Amazon listing for 35 bucks claiming it was new, despite the listing photo showing the pal version.

Sure enough, it’s the US version with an unused hangtab on the back and vertical seam on the inner spine. I could leave it sealed, but I think I’ll open it up and play it just to have that new Saturn game feel once again.

Games are meant to be played. I totally think you should open and enjoy it!

Picked up Trials of Mana for the Switch to go with the copy of Seiken Densetsu 3 for the SNES that I picked up a couple of months ago. I originally played Neill Corlett’s fan translation in 2018 and enjoyed the experience, even if the game itself was heavily flawed. I’m really enjoying the remake. It’s funny, the things I like about the Remake (combat, exploration, etc.) are the things I disliked about the original, and the things I dislike about the Remake (low production value, sometimes shoddy graphics, the story/characters) are the things I enjoyed most in the original. They compliment each other well!

Got a couple new things in the mail. This MVC is still on its original battery! The stickers are still in place. I’ll be installing an infinikey into it soon. Also got a nice new Hori Fighting Edge to go with it. Also got an octagonal gate for it and a couple over-sized actuators to put in this and my other Hori Stick.

Been looking for a ps4 pro for a decent price for a while. Prices are crazy now. I saw this death stranding bundle on amazon for $350 so I jumped on it.

Also picked up a bundle of games. This is just some of them. Crisis core has really spiked.

Nice! I’ve been mean No to grab that one myself. I only have Metal Slug 2 at the moment.

There are so many items I expected to post about here but the pandemic has meant that very little of it seems to be getting to Australia.

Here’s hoping I don’t need to chase refunds and it’s just a delay - I know there are more important things to worry about but it is slightly frustrating to have all of your quarantine projects held up by well … the quarantine.

Outstanding! I bet it’s even better on an authentic Japanese cabinet like yours. I’m jealous of you!

I hear you. I have a couple of pcbs in transit that I have no idea when they’ll arrive. One is from China and the tracking straight up doesn’t work. It’s ok to be frustrated with this stuff while simultaneously understanding just what this epidemic means to people. Nature of the beast. It effects people in different ways. Hang in there!

I have a failing Genesis CDX power wart so I called up the local retro guys in desperation (I wanted to play and stream Genesis while stuck at home unemployed) to get a $30 Model 1. When I first turned it on I had a nasty buzzing but once the power pack warmed up it stopped! I’ll keep it, mainly because I don’t want to go back and it seems to be working now.

HIGH DEFINITION GRAPHICS

Little did they know we would make it so! Video of the buzzing. Playing through the RetroTINK-2x connected to an Elgato HD60 S.

You’ll also note the buzzing stops around 5 minutes in when I’m messing with the nub for the 8bitdo M30 which DOES fit in the one I just got. I had to really jam it in there.

Thanks! Been looking for this one for a while know, glad to finally own it. 2 is actually the only one I’m missing now, I see plenty of carts locally but I’m hoping for one in good condition, don’t really care for 4 and 5. Keep looking you’ll get lucky!

Those titles are readily available in compilations and whatnot, but there’s something about playing in original hardware that’s just pure bliss. I wonder if anyone here is baller enough to have the AES one…

I am playing on a consolized MVS + PVM. It’s as close as I can get for now.

If I could rank my preference of what I’d get without factoring in cost Or space issues it would be:

  1. Japanese MVS Cabinet
  2. US MVS Cabinet
  3. AES console
  4. Consolized MVS

So to me, your cabinet is the bees knees.

Yeah, that’s my ideal rank too and only because AES is so expensive to collect for. If more home game carts existed then AES would be number one.

I bought an Aero City Cab! Well I bought it on February, it took a couple of months to restore. Before and after pics provided.
