RGB Pick Up Thread Of Swag!

Awesome!

Both Extreme Stage and Street Stage lacked depth to their handling models while making car choices and upgrades more important to player success.

Hope Sega Rosso’s PS2 game is what I’m looking for!

All digital pickups:

5 new titles for Namcot Collection: Namcot Collection/Namco Museum Archives (M2, B.B. Studio)

And Arcade Archives CRAZY CLIMBER 2.

Excite.

Special Stage any good?

I had some fun with extreme stage using a wheel.

I also found the PSP game underwhelming. Some has to do with the nub and hairpin/switchback touge courses. It’s too easy to lose your reference and there isn’t much feedback to indicate grip levels.

Haven’t tried it yet but I’ll hopefully update on the Touge racing thread when I do!

It’s encouraging to hear that about Extreme Stage, it may well be (a bit!) like OutRun 2 then where the arcade experience is a lot more testing than using a traditional Controller? Though I really didn’t like how Extreme Stage has virtually no balancing to accommodate the wide range of vehicles you can freely switch between or grind to upgrade.

I did, it’s one of the reasons I ended up with it

Not a huge pickup but since I have no idea how they figured out this total, thought it was funny!

Normally I’d get a piece of art framed by a professional but I was doing an Ikea order anyway and was curious to the quality of the frames, not bad for the price.

That looks cool. I like it!

Something I can recommend for easy framing that may not be super high quality, but isn’t off the shelf is https://www.frameiteasy.com/

Don’t have a UV protective glass options or a option for non visible spacer/matting but its worked well for a few things I’ve done that I wanted to look nice but wasn’t worried about it lasting forever.

Well worth paying extra for good framing. I wouldn’t put this up in a room with a window as I don’t think Ikea use Acrylic for their glazing, luckily enough it’s easy enough to get a custom cut. At least the mat is acid free.

What sort of things do you have framed?

Prints, concert posters, general posters, and some original watercolors. Aside from the numbered prints and watercolors I don’t worry too much about the UV protection. Although I see the appeal of matting I don’t really care for it so just go for spacers to keep the art from the glass. Think I have 2 things in just store bought frames that are special to me, but aren’t high quality printing or paper so I know aren’t meant to last anyway.

The price gap between even the place I linked and the “uv protection custom frames” places is amazingly high. Can typically run more then the art itself unless you have something really special.

The Saturn port kind of does if you run it through something that can rotate the image. It has arcade and Saturn screen size options although both are presented in horizontal forms.

That’s a fantastic game. Played the arcade games to death and this PS2 game as well.

Please share name, make, model, and size of frame

@apathetic Sounds like a great collection! Yeah, it gets very expensive very fast. I’ve seen places do off-the-shelf frames with acrylic UV protection so you can really keep prints/posters/art safe on a budget. Adding a custom mat shouldn’t break the bank either and can make a cheap frame look a lot better.

Ikea Lomviken: https://www.ikea.com/gb/en/cat/lomviken-series-38435/ 30x40cm

+Mat is acid-free
+Aluminium frame means it’ll be more rigid compared to some cheaper MDF frames
+Light in weight, much easier to hang. My glass framed prints are a bit of a pain to transport and hang
+Safer than glass
-The glazing is Polystyrene plastic, I don’t think it has any UV treatment, should be easy enough to replace with a custom cut Acrylic glaze with UV protection (approx $6-9 for a 30x40cm piece)
-Some small gaps in some of the corners, not sure if that’s a build quality thing or it being knocked about in delivery
-The plastic glaze had a few stress marks, could have happened in transport
-It might be worth noting that if you don’t want to put up nails the hanging clip is quite recessed, I think I saw a few people mention that in their reviews

Also using HomeHobby by 3L Mounting Corners to keep it centred (Acid-Free, Archival safe) https://www.amazon.com/Archival-Methods-32mm-Mounting-Corner/dp/B00493W47G

I noticed the Lomviken 61x91cm version’s mat might work well with Japanese B2 posters (50x70cm), might give that a shot next.

Absolutely. Even the “cheap” option I posted is still gonna run like $60 a frame. How it goes if you want a specific size and opening since it is a bit of custom work, but also a far cry from the $300-1000 you would pay at a specialty framing store/Michaels. Also why I can get behind the repurposing of cheap store bought frames if you have something that fits them.

New PCB day is best day.

I actually got this last week along with Detana TwinBee, only now hooked it up. I’m happy for this to be my first Psikyo PCB, I have to admit that even though shooting games are my favorite, never gave Psikyo games a chance before. Glad I did buy this, but the one I really REALLY want is Dragon Blaze.

Awesome! I really love Psikyo shooters. Been eyeballing Dragon Blaze myself.

I remember learning the hard way when I got 2 prints framed about 5-7 years back(BttF movie print and TMNT NES print) They were the first two I ever paid to get framed professionally and they cost me like 200 together and that’s only because the frame store was close with my dad at the time.

I realized I didn’t have the money to frame everything else I had and also that I’d never have the space to as well so I stopped buying prints for a long time following that… However I recently bought one through espressobeans because it’s something I know I’ll frame and display. It’s currently being flattened in my basement. I’ll frame it hopefully this fall.

I decided to slap an Akira poster I own in some cheapo frame(that I already owned) recently because I figured it might as well be displayed instead of sitting in a tube. I didn’t even bother with a mat because it just seemed like an extra cost that wouldn’t be worth it considering how thing the border is around the print.
