Yeah, looks like the plastic on the inside is “curved” to the contour of the PAL carts. Was hoping that there was a NA version but googling for snes cases has too many results to sift through.
Sorry for the double post but have run into an issue with my controllers. Is there a good options for a direct replacement for them? Want wired so the 8bitdo choices aren’t an option.
Could just try replacement membranes but also don’t know what the options are for them/how good the third party things are there either. Shoulder buttons are wonky as fuck on one of my controllers though and as far as I know that can be a more serious issue that membrane replacement doesn’t help.
Too much kaizo Marios have made taken it’s toll.
You may want to open them up to look at the membranes prior to buying new ones. Sometimes you can clean up up with some IPA and an old toothbrush gently brushing them.
Console 5 sells replacement ones (out of stock right now though). I found them a little stiffer and more “clickly” than OEM, but that could possibly be a result of new vs old used OEM ones. I’ve been considering going back to the old OEM ones to be honest.
Cleaned current membranes and pcb but still got mushy and unresponsive button presses. Well they are fine for normal gaming but I really feel the lack when trying more precise actions. Shoulder buttons are wonky no matter what I do with one of my controllers, not registering a press if titled at all towards the front of the controller as well.
Was hoping there was a good replacement option but seems everyone is satisfied with wireless/8bitdo.
If they are feeling mushy, there’s a good chance that the silicon pads are broken. If you bend them a little in your fingers, you can often see that the membrane is split a little bit.
I agree with @dubc though. The replacements are usually fine as far as quality is concerned, even the cheap ones on ebay… but they will feel quite a bit more clicky than stock. I personally don’t like that, but I’ve heard others that do. Personal preference I guess.
Got word from Retro-Bit/Limited Run yesterday that my pre-ordered a million months ago (may as well be… I don’t know when they did it anymore…) UNDERCOVER COPS is on the way! I might even have it tomorrow?! For sure early next week. Pretty stoked to finally play it on SNES. A new Beat 'Em Up is nothing to sneeze at!

So I picked this up on eBay for just over $30 including postage. The listing said it was brand new in box, not sure how true that is but it looks to be in great shape.
I’ve never had an SNES mouse before so I’d love some recommendation for good mouse games!

New Brook Wingman adapter for SNES/NES:
Probably not going to get this as the 8bitdo adapters are doing everything I need but I can see it being useful for using a wired USB arcade stick on SNES as there aren’t a lot of good options for SNES arcade sticks.

Intends recently put Earthbound on the Nintendo Switch. They also released the guide for free. One benefit of working in a print shop means free prints for me. Look forward to finally doing a full playthrough
I loved how good Earthbound turned out I decided to create a custom guide for the original on nes. I had to create some custom covers for it.
I’m thinking about doing this for a whole lot more games.

I got a pair of these. I haven’t had a chance to unbox and review them but will get to them later in the month hopefully.
I used Photoshop to edit the cover.
I printed the paper on a cardstock and then laminated it. It really makes the colors pop.
On the inside I printed it on a 28# Color Copy Paper. It’s not too expensive and thick enough so that double sided prints aren’t see through.
If you’re printing them yourself I highly recommend a Laser printer. Not only are they was faster than inkjet but you get way more copies out of them before needing to replace your toner.
I plan on experimenting with different paper and binding techniques to see which one I like.
Oh definitely getting it done at a print place on laser. Probably planning on doing stabled booklet kind of thing.
