I don’t have any Analogue consoles, but I would like one of these to play some of my digitally-outputted hardware on my 31k-only VGA arcade monitor. (Hoping it’s better than the cheap converters I’m using that absolutely crush all the blacks.)
I’m comparing to individual people sending me stuff. I know Amazon eats costs, but when Analogue charges a huge amount more than a friend can walk into the post shop and send me something for, they’re doing something wrong.
I don’t think it works like that - my understanding is the Analogue console boots into a special mode where it passes through data to the DAC for the analogue conversion - it isn’t converting an HDMI compliant digital signal into an analogue one, so it isn’t a universal solution.
Here’s a fun thread to read. lol
The logistics company Analogue is using doesn’t know what they’re doing or are purposefully overcharging. Either way, Analogue doesn’t care.
Yeh it’s insane. Lol at the people saying “oh well it’s Australia so that’s why” who clearly have no experience shipping stuff there or NZ - it’s outrageous AF.
Wow. Crazy.
They should really sort this out for their forthcoming products.
$80 I can live with for this. $30 shipping not so much.
Also, this being proprietary sucks even though they were clear on that point before. Love Kevtris and what Analogue has enabled him to do, but closed source commercial units like these are something I just have the hardest time supporting the more I think about them. Until the MiSTer or a similar open-source project comes a bit further along, emulation or flash carts remain the best options in my eyes.
Do you have a mister? Its pretty FAR along. I use it more than my analogue machines and even real hardware.
I see there’s a new “official” case for MiSTer and whilst it’s far from being anything like Analog it is quite tidy.
Do you have a link to it? I wonder if it fits the new ram options
it’s sold by RetroShop.pt and is on their facebook.
can also be bought as part of a new, “full” setup called “Ultimate MiSTer”.

Ultimate Mister is a full setup and it’s about to be released to public. Optionally has 32MB or 128Mb of RAM (required for new NeoGeo core). It’s bundled with all latest expansions, MiSTer Hub 2.1 with Power Control, Tape / Cassete audio input and the mighty Stormtrooper oficial Case.
Stormtrooper Case
Thanks for the link, case looks good, I dig the functional look
I don’t! I understood it to be fairly early on with many cores, like SNES and PCE. I may just be behind the times!
@Matt That’s really nice. I may shoot them a PM for pricing on that ‘Ultimate MiSTer’ bundle.
Analog announcement 16 Oct
All the rumors seem to point to a gameboy or similar kind of thing, but I really do wish it was a PC Engine one.
I’m hoping for both
I kind of wish I knew of this before I pre-order a GBA Consolizer. Which I did as soon as they went up in May and there’s still nothing about them shipping any time soon. I kind of feel like the consolizer is going to be a waste of money compared to an Analogue solution.
Cancel your order? I’m sure they have a long waiting list.
Yeah I’m very much considering it. I am actually really disappointed with how the consolizer has been handled. As far the pre-order and giving us info about it. When I pre-ordered it game tech said they would ship in 4 months. Then he’s gone basically radio silent, and every few weeks when someone asks for an update its like ohh an update is coming soon, and nothing. It also feels like every week another youtuber is getting a consolizer, and I get needing to do promotion, but how about shipping some to the people who fucking paid for it already.
Are we thinking Analogue would make a portable device or continue with consoles? A console gameboy is a lot less interesting IMO.
Also I wonder if they’ll do a pure gameboy or gbc. If the latter I hope there is a standard gb option for classic colour schemes.
