I dont have the option to look at that, however I do have vscale set to 1 in the ini which is integer.
Can you rename your ini (or delete it for default ) and see if that helps. The configuration gets corrupted frequently. I never touch it with my pc anymore and use the script menu.
Yeah no change,i deleted every config file. Do you not get vertical tearing?
I will say i dont have a ram board, not sure if that matters.
I noticed that sometimes i don’t have a small black border around the 720p image it will do that. Wonder if its your TV’s scaler.
I fixed all my problems. I just put the auto update script on the sd and ran it. Boom, all the scanlines work properly and no vertical tearing. Maybe something I was using was outdated, but I just got it a week ago and used all the newest files. Who knows, but at least its working now!
Thanks for helping
I love the MiSTer. It’s my go to now. Even though i love the analogue systems i hate the scanlines so i turn them off. I really wish they would open up some of it so we could get some community solutions to issues Kevtris doesn’t resolve
I think Catmull Rom Scanlines 40 is my favorite filter of the bunch, its super close to my PVM 2030. The only thing missing from all of these is phosphor bloom. That would be an amazing effect on an OLED.
Also a menu with boxart would be neat on the hdmi portion, would look like crap at 240p though.
open source gba core booting first titles, great to see…
Mega SG adapters finally shown off and coming soon it looks like https://twitter.com/analogue/status/1195615035873038337?s=20
According to Smokemonsters stream today Sega CD will be releasing any day now for Mister. Sorgelig is working on it as we speak,he thought it might be today but probably in the next few!!
Nice! I got my DE-10 Nano yesterday. I don’t have everything else yet, but…soon. lol
anyone have any info about the analoge dac?
What you want to know? I will try to cover everything I know.
They work with Analogue Consoles (right now just the Super NT and Mega SG, but future consoles are said to be supported) to output analog video and audio output, they use a HD 15 connector that is compatible with existing cables that can be readily found on amazon or monoprice.
Your Super NT or Mega SG needs to be firmware updated to take advantage of the Analogue DAC.
The console is connected by both USB and HDMI to the DAC.
The DAC it self does not convert HDMI to analog formats, the console just repurposing the connector that already exist. The console will send a digital signal via HDMI connector that not compliant to HDMI specs to the DAC, I guess this is a workaround to get the DAC to work with any technical or legal restrictions ( I don’t know what those restrictions are but I am sure their Engineer, Kevin Horton knows what he doing).
You can use the Sega 32X with your Mega SG via the Analogue DAC, but you need to make a custom DAC HD15 to Sega 32X cable, then use a Sega Genesis Mk2 cable of your choice to your analog display. The DAC uses the same HD15 pinout the NT Mini uses if you want to make your own cabling.
For anyone interested the DAC is now up for pre-order https://www.analogue.co/store/
A couple of other bits.
Wow, another run of the console itself? Surely they’ll use plastic casing this time and bring the price down a bit. I’ve resisted the urge on any of the Analog hardware thus far - and with FGPAs becoming more accessible as DIY, these things are less unique then when they were first introduced.
… HOWEVER … an affordable Nt Mini might be too much to pass up if this the last chance.
Someone started a petition last week and posted it on Analogue’s FB page then they responded with this on Sunday after it passed their mark.
Interesting note in the retrogamingcables.co.uk email:
Analogue reached out to us asking whether we would like to become a cable provider for the Nt mini, DAC and custom cable for the 32X. I just need to feedback from you guys to see whether if there is enough interest from the community for these cables.
TLDR: Don’t use the Game Gear cart adapters on the Mega Sg because some are defective and they’ll be sending out replacements to everyone.
Yikes, that’s pretty crazy, the Game Gear cart would be one of the main reasons I would get a Mega Sg.
