Thanks!
Next time I tear it down I’ll give that a go, I wanted the all black buttons opposed to the stock grey so it will be nice to swap them out.

Installed the drop in wireless charge battery pack from Retrosix into my gameboy pocket today.
I replaced the rear shell at the same time to save me from having to modify my original shell, I used one of the Retrosix shells which is already shaped to accommodate the battery pack.
Took less than 3 minutes to install, fits together nicely.
First charge took just over an hour, so far so good.
How is the battery life?
I’m still testing the battery life, it has an IPS screen fitted so I will be happy to get around 4 hours, I will update when I know more.
Did you test the screen with AAA batteries?
With the cheap AAA batteries I was using I was averaging 2.5 to 3 hours I’m sure good quality batteries would have given close to 4 hours but I could never justify the cost.
Macho Nacho posted a video on YouTube earlier in the week where he tested the Retrosix battery, he got 10+ hours on an modded pocket & just under 5 hours on an IPS modded one.
Got a Game Boy Light which has seen better days.
But thanks to fantastic new aftermarket parts…
It’s now a perfect recreation of the Famitsu limited edition
It’s so beautiful…
Looks great!
Is there an IPS screen mod or just a better screen available for the bottom DS lite screen? I ask because I just bought a modded one as a GBA player but would like to update the screen.
Has anybody here played Bubble Ghost for the Gameboy?
It has been ages. I remember it being decent but pretty short.
I love how you blow the bubble. It’s very satisfying.
Many years ago yes, fun game.
Well, it took longer than expected, but I finally received and installed the FunnyPlaying “GBA ITA kit”. It’s by far the best looking option for GBA replacement screens IMHO. Absolutely love it.
Of course, this is just in time for the Analogue Pocket to show up.
Really cool end result. I love how the GB buttons just fit so perfectly in the NES controller.
same with battery pack from the GBC(?) to the GBA
