The previous owner installed a bunch of recessed ceiling lighting so it can get decently bright, though it’s brighter in those pics than in real life.
There’s only one small window that lets in natural light, but I put a blackout curtain over that so when we watch movies we can get it really dark.
Thats how god intended it to be.

I think the little extension piece for when you use a model 1 MD with a model 2 CD is the rarest item in my collection lol.

The Besta frames come in a 7 7/8" depth that is the perfect depth for DVD/CD/Genesis/etc. cases. You don’t have to put things behind your stuff to get it to the front of the shelf. They just… fit. You can stack Besta frames and get doors, etc., same as Billy.
Billy is an 11" depth only I think.
“Media” depth stuff used to be hard to find, or rather good quality media depth stuff. Years ago it was either super flimsy or those dumb “here is slots for each thing” shelves. Love that ikea set but I ended up just making my own before I found out about it.
I didn’t know about Besta, I’ll have to check it out. Thanks for the heads up. I’ve struggled to find good media shelves, I’m still rocking 3 sets that I got from Suncoast in the early 2000s.
Got the candys moved into the game room after a couple months of repair. I replaced pretty much everything on both and capped both monitors. I still need to build the groovymame PC’s but for now I’m just running pi’s into jpac at 15khz,works great for now. I Didnt think the Blast would fit,had to remove the door to the room! I’m scared to turn everything in the room on at once and blow a fuse,lol.
