SCANLINE SCREENSHOT THREAD. BECAUSE 240p IS ALL THE P'S I NEED. (56k warning)

Ninja Saviors is freaking awesome. Anyone who loves the 16/32-bit era needs to play that. It’s gorgeous and plays like a dream.

If anyone’s curious, this is how it looks like on a CRT. Forgot to correct the gamma settings so it’s a little dark.

Real Bout Fatal Fury Special (MVS) on Super Neo 29 cab

Fun game, designed for people to hit buttons and see fun stuff. But also has the depth needed to compete with the other fighters that were out in 1996.

What’s the setup here? Emulation? Mister?

Looks good in any event.

Still the Switch (I should add that Switch/PS4 is to my knowledge the only way to play an arcade title that was shelved for 25 years before being completed last year).

HDMI to component transcoder into the GBS Control which downscales to 240p → Component out into CRT.

It works really well for retro games that let you stretch to 16:9, the GBS Control then squishes it back down to 4:3.

Battle Clash aka Space Bazooka (Japanese version title) and in game bosses and avatars. I very like this game because it reminds me of a time when Nintendo was not only childish company, but also make a content for a more adult gamers.
Setup:
1.Samsung CS15k8mjq CRT TV with native Scart RGB input
2.Super Famicom SHVC-001 with Scart RGB cable and JGO cartridge adapter.
3.Photos by Samsung HMX-R10 camcorder.

Tried for a 1cc in Deathsmiles after about a week of practice, but that volcano level keeps getting me. Almost there though.

Dithering on those mountains/clouds makes me wonder how some composite blending would look on SMW

Just some noodling around on the 20L2.

There is more use of dithering in SNES games than I had thought although not as much as the Mega Drive. As a kid, I had the pleasure of using RF for both SNES and Mega Drive so didn’t see any dithering until the PS1/SS/N64 generation when I learned about RGB/S-Video cables.

Yesterday i connected my Majesco Genesis 3 to Eagle (Sokol) 14’’ CRT TV. It has only CVBS or Composite inputs only, which is very strange for TV that was released in European (Russian) market, 'cuz Scart RGB was a standard over here. Anyway, here’s some photos i made.

Been messing around with composite for SNES games, I’m really liking it:

SNES composite looking pretty good here, the last one with the perfectly round pillars looks amazing. I’ve been meaning to revisit SNES composite as at least on a 1-Chip/RGB, pre-rendered games like DKC are still too sharp and show up the odd pixel fringing.

I’m kind of cheating here as it’s SNES emulation on a Wii, but through composite instead of the component I typically use
