Great photos. Been playing more STGs lately, thinking of picking this up when I find a good deal. Heard its great for beginners like myself.
Haven’t posted sweet, succulent scanline goodness in a while. Let’s remedy that.
Marchen Adventure Cotton 100% - Chip 02 SNES with NTSC CSNYC 470Ω SCART and Borti’s RGB Bypass Board - Sony 20L5 PVM
Resident Evil: Code Veronica - VA1 Sega Dreamcast with Sega Dreamcast PACKAPUNCH RGB 480p SCART and GDEMU ODE - Sony 14L5 PVM
Jikkyou Oshaberi Parodius: Forever With Me - Model 1 Japanese Sega Saturn with Sega Saturn PAL/NTSC SCART and Fenrir Duo ODE - Sony 14L5 PVM
next on the Igavania list, Aria of Sorrow. a great palate cleanse after Harmony of Dissonance’s tedium and odd atmosphere
the Tactical Soul System is utterly brilliant. I’m partial to Circle of the Moon’s DSS system, but in Aria it’s even woven into the story, which is so far the best of the lot imo. the castle was a blast to explore and 100%, and I might even take up a 100% soul collection challenge
this might even be better than Symphony of the Night. if anything, it got me reminiscing about that game and its locations. I might fire up the Saturn version for the first time before I dive into the DS trilogy
Quickly made screenshots from Gunbird 2 on Dreamcast (RGB Scart) in TATE mode. It’s rare example of native 240p game on DC, since most of games are in godawful 480i. 2000, Capcom & Psikyo.
Setup:
1.Sega Dreamcast HKT-3000 with RGB Scart cable
2.Samsung Plano CS15k8mjq with native Scart input

great shots! I love the DC version for the secret characters
beat Super Castlevania IV today. it was by far the breeziest experience of the Classicvania’s, up until the latter third where it really started to pick up in difficulty. the boss gauntlet at the end was brutal, but what I liked about them was that there are strwtegies you naturally pick up by observing the patterns, and there are rarely many cheap hits like in the other games
now onto Bloodlines and Rondo of Blood!
Finito:
Hokuto no Ken 6 on Super Famicom. One on one fighting game based on manga of the same name. The game looks nice, but plays not as smooth as Street Fighter II and other later fighting games.
Setup:
1.Sony Black Trinitron KV-14M1K with native RGB Scart input.
2.Super Famicom SHVC-001 with RGB Scart cable (self made with CSYNC)
