RGB Pick Up Thread Of Swag!

Duh. I’m tired. XL’s all the same size right?

I imagine so, but I’ve never held a N2DSXL before.

N3DSXL and regular 3DSXL are the same size though.

The New 2DS XL is about the same size as my other original 3DS XL. Perhaps a little thinner and less heavy.

I’m glad the 3D in Robobot is good, I just remembered I have it but haven’t found time to start it yet!

How are the off-angle viewing angles on both screens? Would be a mean virtual console system (especially for DS games) if it’s dual IPS.

The top screen has the better angle as far as I can see. So perhaps only half IPS.

Robobot is a pretty good game. I’m not really into Kirby, only played the Wii and WiiU games and Robobot is definitely more enjoyable.

The 3D in Robobot causes slowdown though. In 2D it’s a solid 60fps. It could sometimes drop to half that in 3D mode unfortunately.

The 3D in Triple Deluxe was far more rock solid.

Interesting, were you playing on a New 3DS as well? I wonder if they optimised the game for the beefier hardware. iirc, the port of Woolly World was 60fps but only on New 3DS models?

Yep, I was playing on N3DSXL

Never heard of this, but you just sold me on it so it got ebayed lol. Looking forward to try it out!

A few of my recent pickups - FDS Metroid came from eBay, but the others I picked up while on vacation in Wisconsin. Colony Wars and the Fun Club news I picked up in Milwaukee, while the super game boy 2 came from a retro shop in Sheboygan, they had it priced 25 bucks lower than ebay, so that made it a no-brainer.

Being able to save your game In Metroid is awesome! I even just love seeing the extra screen.

Let us know how Bomberman GB 2 is over at the Game Boy thread - thought GB 3 was amazing! But aside from that the only other one I’ve played is the side-scrolling Bomberman Pocket.

Will do! Your comments were what put the games back on my hunting radar!

Oops missed this! That’s disappointing then, since it’s definitely going to look less impactful without the 3D.

Mail came today! Got this nice copy of 1944: The Loop Master for CPS2. The shell is in really good shape and it came with a monster sized poster. Got a really good deal on it.

I didn’t realize this game was formatted horizontally though! I was expecting it to be a tate game like 19XX.

I ended up hooking it up to my CPS2 Digital motherboard and playing it on the OLED for my first session. Looked awesome. Really cool game. Very different from 19XX.
