RGB Pick Up Thread Of Swag!

I can bet. Even here in Japan its not a cheap game.

Been concentrating on filling out my SEGA Master System & Mega Drive Library the past couple of months with mostly PAL titles that have no 50hz optimization or can load fine into the US/JP NTSC region (Micro Machines 2 is PAL optimized unfortunately) and that I either used to own or have nostalgia for:

All have manuals and hang tabs (apart from Zero Wing which has no hang tab).

The Japanese copy of Undead Line was originally mine and was given to an old school friend at some point in the past who I visited recently and he gifted it back to me. Sadly we wrote in biro in the manual what pick up items did as we figured things out.

Golvellius came with some torn pieces of paper inside of the box with passwords written on them:

Nice to see this rather than the more common writing them inside the manuals…

Also picked up a bundle of old PAL Anime VHS mainly for the “Salamader OAV 1” Tape which is the only officially licensed English localization (Western Connection) of that OAV which also only ever got released on VHS/LaserDisc with no DVD/Bluray or even streamed version ever being released.

The end credits are pretty cool:

I love the inclusion of the password codes. Would be fun to finish the game (because, no spoilers!), then load up each one and see how far the previous owner got.

Cool, I had that salamanda VHS. There was another too which I had. Wasn’t that the western connections label? They had loads of cool anime. Some of it was rather obscure and some was very raw. I remember one of their releases in which we could see the unpainted sections of the animation cells.

Good story for this… Wario64 posted on Twitter that these were $100 shipped on Monday. Amazon Japan. Having never ordered from there I didn’t know it would be as easy as simply creating an account and paying with my card and BAM, it shows up via DHL on FRIDAY!! It was actually on the truck to me on Thursday but “unforeseen difficulty” caused it to slip to the originally estimated date.

If it’s on Amazon Japan and you don’t mind the shipping cost to the US, have at it!

No new PCB today ;(

But I did get an amazing deal on these PVMs! 200 bucks got me a Sony PVM 20M2U, PVM 14M4U, and a lovely Ikegami TM-9. The smaller ones fit great in my desk along the Dell Ultrascan. I still don’t know where I’m placing the 20M2U, I’ll post about that later.

Dang. You got a 20m2u for the old price before everyone wanted a pvm. Congrats.

Got an amazing new Soldier Blade T-Shirt and a copy of Aero Blaster for PC Engine. The latter I opted for as the TG-16 and Genesis versions are way too expensive now.

Great, just tried Aero Blaster and looks like the Hucard might be bad. Just boots to a yellow screen, have gently cleaned the contacts several times and still the same.
