The official Retro Core / Battle of the Ports thread

Something that maybe frowned upon by many but then again something that many may find useful.

I guess it all depends upon your outlook on things.

With the new GEX collection being announced, it’s a good time to take a look at the original release.

I use the retro-bit Saturn pad for the actual Saturn form factor.

There’s a Saturn receiver too, I’m loving removing cords from my life on all old consoles. Only PC Engine left of major ones, there’s a receiver now but it’s awkward and doesn’t fit the Duo (?), will wait for a nicer one.

This week on Battle of the Ports is a Saturn shooter that should have been so much better.

back in the 80’s I would watch films and TV where something like this was science fiction. It’s amazing what we have now!
By the way, this is NOT streaming from the cloud, it’s running on the watch natively.

I can’t believe it has taken me this long to cover this game. And in a rare event, all footage is taken from real hardware. No emulation. Well, besides the arcade version.
