It was rare to almost non-existent in the US, but as far as I know it was not only released in the UK but also Canada.

Got a whole bunch of stuff over the last 2-3 months.

Quite a few Switch games arrived, Limited Run arrivals and Play-asia sales etc.

Just got a nice copy of Super Genjin to go with my Super Genjin 2.

Grabbed the Dreamcast version of Andro Dunos II. It’s choppier than the Switch version (not 30fps but it drops frames) and apparently missing some parallax etc, but still solid! And I half got it for the soundtrack CD.

Love this game!

By grabbing the last switch release (the Cotton 2/Boomerang set, SLG version with updates on cart), I now have a vintage and modern version of each Cotton game except Rainbow.

And here’s an interesting one, I ordered some bits from Retrosix (GBC new amplified board was the main thing I was after) but because they have quite cheap prices I got some other parts from to try out. Such as this SNES pad shell, rubbers and buttons.

It works great with original or 8bitdo DIY controller PCBs except for one thing, it’s designed for a USB-C plug.

It pinches an original cable slightly, not enough to be a problem. And the 8bitdo charging connector needs some cutting to fit nicely. But overall great quality, recommended if you need some parts.

Another thing I tried are these which I posted about above, which make buttons more responsive

They make buttons snappy. They worked great in one SNES pad, but I think they made my original SNES pad with 8bitdo PCB feel a bit tight, I’ll keep experimenting.

sweet pickups!

the DC version of AD2 is 480i isn’t it? this is what made me decide against getting it, it’s a weird oversight imo

Yeah, it has 480p and still looks good on my setups but the dream of this version was 240p.

Just dumb, along with heaps of the rest of the DC library (and all the Atomiswave ports) get that slightly blurry look in 15Khz

it’s even stranger because I’m sure the port of the original Andros Dunos from the Neo Geo runs in 240p, and so does the PC version of AD2

I’m pretty sure it doesn’t? As it’s just the Neo4All image?

“As far as I can tell, this latest iteration of Andro Dunos for Dreamcast is almost identical to the aforementioned (it even displays the Neo4All icon on the VMU screen)”

maybe I’m misremembering. I’ll check it tomorrow

Never mode the Switch Cotton games, check out all of those lovely Sega Mark III / Master System games. Lovely collection.

Two games from a complete Gold/Silver set. One game from a complete MyCard set.

It will be very difficult to get Bomber Raid at a decent price…
